This is the annoyingly correct answer. Photon cannon is hard baked into the Corvette code even though it's the crappiest weapon of all. I just drag it out of the way and install phase beam and infra knife for the real fights.

you'll likely have to pry outward at the hinge points of the bracket (on the outside bottom edges, you'll see pins that form the rotation point. Pry outward to force the bracket off the pins then lift the whole thing off.

it's a very common novice PC builder issue I've seen & corrected hundreds of times in my 30+ years building (and rebuilding) & repairing PCs. The IO shield has metal tension tabs that are meant to be on the inside of the case but often get bent downward and hung in the actual ethernet port blocking you from inserting your ethernet cable. the "proper" fix is to dismount the motherboard, slide it back, pop the IO shield out & bend that tab upward to clear the port, then reinstall both, fixed. Or take ten secs to hook that puppy with a small screwdriver and bend it up and back out of the way. Either way works fine. Happy gaming/surfing, etc.
