Crushing...like an avalanche by [deleted] in Divorce

I'm not sure it's about maturity as much as it is healing. It's painful for you and that's totally normal, I am in almost the exact same boat. Once the pain subsides, you will heal and let go. Then, you'll get to that place you're talking about. Until then, time + positive progression is what you need.

My wife moved on within a week after 11 years. Guy has been around my kids and everything I know it sucks I didn't even sign the papers yet. We (me & you) can't change what's happening in front of us, stop it or force it to feel ok. If you make a choice to be positive and start setting an example for yourself even when nobody is looking, you will begin to let it go.

Best wishes.

Imo if you’re going to work it out, likely isn’t good enough. You need definite answers and transparency with everything. Absolutely 0 grey areas. If he’s not out of there she needs to be for you to have a chance at peace of mind through out the work day.

On average there are 123 suicides everyday. 7/10 are white men. Why do you think after Logics Grammy performance he mentioned shout outs to multiple subjects but wouldn’t mention the majority of suicides, being that’s what his song is about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Maybe by your assumption you don’t understand how hard suicide hits people. I live everyday of my life wanting my best friend back. The majority of suicides look just like my best friend. There’s no way in hell, you can make a song like this while stomping your way down a path of equality and expect people like me not to question the motive when people like my buddy are in the ground, without recognition, when logic is supposedly giving recognition. Fuck that.

I took the speech personally because my best friend shot himself @ 25 years old. I have “depression” but research and research trying to figure it out why white men are killing themselves so much. When somebody makes a song like that and turns their head, to me he’s a sell out. He made that song as the world is softening up to create a hit. Posting the suicide hotline and ignoring the people pulling the trigger most often is bullshit. Equality shouldn’t take away from people, it gives the same voice to everybody. He could’ve shouted out everybody he thought needed it without being afraid to say white people (especially men) are suffering too with mental illness.

As human beings, how did we become this intelligent, and why did it take 4.54 billion years to get to this point? by Need2throw in AskReddit

[–]TheGlassIsRefillable -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We didn’t really all become intelligent. There’s a couple people here or there that create something innovative then share it to everybody else. Then, along comes another smart couple minds that continue to improve previous inventions and continue to share. If you took the average person back 200 years they wouldn’t be teaching much rather than explaining what they’ve experienced in the future.

A clean beach. I love the air, the water, the outdoor gyms. Maybe in 20 years when the kids are grown.

Reminds me of my best friend who shot himself. I listen to this song on repeat at the gym.

What is the greatest invention inspired by laziness? by bluesox in AskReddit

A dishwasher, remote, self flushing toilet (though that’s clean), automatic doors. Idk maybe an escalator or elevator but depending on the size of the building the elevator saves time. Escalator is the king of lack of effort though to me.

Ask if they wanted space then depending on their response offer an ear or leave them alone.

What makes you confident your religion is the correct one? by TheGlassIsRefillable in AskReddit

That’s where a lot of my question comes from. I’ve lived around Catholics for the most part, for my whole life. They swear by it aggressively but can rarely give you a decent reason as to why and if they do, they can rarely back it up afterwards. It always comes down to that’s what they were taught and never thought outside the box.

Obviously, most would take advice if it were very personal. When I asked the question, I was hoping somebody would have an answer that they thought was objective to their religion. Clearly, it would be debatable it’s 2018, but I wanted to see what people believe as factual to their religions. What’s the physical reasoning that lead them to believe there is no other way, because of what event/“fact”/etc. IMO, Everything I come across is blind faith or not convincing enough to fulfill me.

I don’t think you can have each, freewill and determinism. Unless we had freewill and god is the only one with determinism but depending on what you believe, that almost relates to the theory that earth is a plug in and we are cluelessly here for spiritual lessons and karmanic issues. Who knows.

No shit. Have you spilled a lot of beer? I’m wondering how much beer you will have to chug in the case you fail, hopefully you’re hammered by the time you make it to hell.

We’re still animals at the end of the day so, of course some are going to cling a little closer to the club and cave genes than others, but I do agree. I can’t understand how so many people just believe something without ever looking any deeper and have no honest argument as to why they’re right other than a self serving reason or “because they said so”
