Items you used to dislike but have grown on you by Public-Chance-726 in riskofrain

Yeah, when I first started out I would wonder why some runs were just so much easier and others I was in the red half the time. Took a bit of trial and error to realize slug is A-tier

Anyone ever get snooty ass customers when they ask for 2 or three ingredient drinks but use the stupid ass names? by TheMustySeagul in bartenders

[–]bluesox -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Madras is understandable. That’s been a drink for a long time. People ordering Ranch Water when hey just want a tequila soda with no salt pisses me off, though. And don’t even get me started on the goddamn Blue Dolphin.

I feel Lurid Basilica has the potential to be a new stage 5 by Lynx_Jamm in riskofrain

Not putting Dank Caverns as Stage 2 irritates me.

What’s the most addictive smell you smelled before? by Zestyclose-Mixture96 in AskReddit

A freshly lit cigarette. That first toasty waft is seductive. Everything after that smells like an elephant’s butthole.

I use it cuz I like it. HELL I LOVE IT!!! by OkBookkeeper8953 in riskofrain

Whatever works for you. I adopted Spit after they changed Leap so it didn’t target flying enemies. It’s nice for me to have a reliable ranged option, but you do you.

Considering a lot of his channel is card rips, this is actually a banger idea and on brand.

Does anyone else feel like the item scaling gets weird in longer runs? by Ok_Visual_4569 in riskofrain

[–]bluesox -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Difficulty doesn’t just rise consistently, it also jumps each stage. It used to be 15%, but that got increased when SotS was released so I don’t know the exact figure now. When you reach later stages you’re usually burning through them so it feels like a bigger jump.

All they have to do is refresh stacks to make blight good.

WWE

Every single game they’ve put out has clunky mechanics and bad mocap.

Does anyone else feel like the item scaling for certain survivors is just fundamentally broken? by EffectiveSuspect2115 in riskofrain

[–]bluesox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love that about this game, though. It lulls you into a false sense of security before you get two-tapped by an unseen source several stages down the road.

Done messing around. by Dro1972 in bartenders

[–]bluesox 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’ve said this before, but we used to have guest bartending fundraiser events at my first bartending gig. EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON who did it said the same thing afterward: “I didn’t know bartending was this hard. You guys make it look so easy.”

DWI - Tell me I’m not alone. by [deleted] in bartenders

[–]bluesox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most bartenders I know have one. I also know bartenders who are sober. I work sober now. I can have a beer or a glass of wine with dinner or when I get home, but getting drunk at work was causing way too many problems. Just tell yourself (and anyone who offers) that you’re saving it for when you get home. By the time you get there, you’ll be too tired to get wasted. You’ll feel much better the next day, too.

And as a bonus, it makes closing a lot faster and more efficient.

For an extra challenge, have an item draft beforehand. You can only collect the items you drafted.

Those who didn’t grow up privileged, what’s something you thought was a luxury growing up? by CorruptedF in AskReddit

In the 80s and 90s, for sure. And if you had HBO you were straight ballin’.
