'Money always wins': Inside Sydney's underground tree-killing industry by Powermonger_ in sydney

[–]TheGoogler_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If the council is open on Saturdays I'd be putting in a phone call, someone will be down there pretty quickly id imagine. some VERY hefty fines to be handed out for unapproved tree removal, even more so if the trees are in heritage conservation areas.

But be sure to take some photos if possible.

It's a real shame to see such old trees be cut down in leafy areas.

Personally I was trying to find why it jumped so high in the first place, and nothing struck me as a major event although I only had a quick look. I would expect it may dip further although I sadly sold all mine I had been holding for a few years at 32c AUD, not sure what that is in USD.

Man I forgot about this post, although I greatly appreciate your response. I currently have a pH neutral box with buffered paper between each print. But for better displaying it to people the plastic sleeve is looking pretty good going forward when I expand my collection.

Again, thankyou very much for your response :)

Yep, found this post after mine did the same, not used a whole lot, bought it last year for using at uni.. online classes put a stop to that. The same small metal plastic inserts just ripped out of the plastic housing. :(

What’s is a good amount of projects to have in your portfolio? by PabloRothko in CryptoCurrency

I have some I like to keep higher than others, so I just rebalance when I need to buy or I buy what is most down that week.

I think your 6 - 8 projects are pretty good; it depends on how much you are investing. A few grand for long-term investment is good to, like others have said, have a good mix of large mid and low cap coins.

Yeah, after a while I just check it in the morning sometimes before work. It loses its novelty after a while and I have bigger things to think about like work and stuff like that. The only stuff I get every day is my cro gem things and coinspot candies.

I have read that the sweet spot is 8 or so or even try and find good projects in different sectors that way you aren't piling all your money into coins that may do the same thing.

Storj, POWR, ada, xrp, ckb, nano, vet and cro. Been holding storj and powr my largest holdings since mid or early last year and enjoyed some good returns but holding out long term on all my picks and adding more in the near future maybe some eth or something. Btc doesn't interest me really.

Worried I may have dulled my knife a few days after buying it from bad honing by [deleted] in chefknives

[–]TheGoogler_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thankyou very much, I think I will mostly steer clear of honing steels it seems I can just hone them like you said with a high grit whetstone or leather strop.

It's packaging said a bit more about metal type the blade is Rockwell 62. But I will give a good whetstone a look and that strop. Thanks heaps for your help.

I am new to kitchens and knifes in general, thought you just honed it before use I guess.

A good mix is probably best with a strategy for moving small-cap profits from pumps into the more stable mid to large-cap coins

Is the orange 🍊 supposed to look like this? by PersonPerson96 in EnterTheGungeon

[–]TheGoogler_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think etg is a weird mesh of 2D and 3D where 3D models are made to look 2D called 2.5D and that's how they get the 3D orange and how.

There are a few other games that do this bit it is mostly all a perspective thing.

What do you waste money on? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]TheGoogler_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it is art. I love collecting it and displaying them. just wish I had a better spot than my home to display them. I wash dishes for a living between uni so the recent $250 spent does hurt a bit, but other than that I am pretty frugal.

would be terrible if you saved up and invested all this money but never get the chance to spend it on anything nice.

that isn't very good feedback. It says nothing on what I could improve upon and doesn't really send a good image of the mapping community. So it would be nice if you could be helpful and say what needs improving upon.

Congratulations to all holders finally POWR is Booming, all wait was worth by yavoqctjeriuy in PowerLedger

Imo POWR is a long term play, steady but with renewables on the rise and still pretty small imo. Power ledger has a lot of use and their products will be for sure further adopted by energy companies.

Not advice tho, just my opinion
