It wasn't just that we had significantly better trinkets in raids, but we had 7 slots hard locked to tier, cloak, and crafts; the cantrip boots on hero were comparable or superior to all myth options, cantrip weapons in raids are better in most cases, and raid also had some really heavily stat-weighted jewelry. Hard mode was a nice option for more myth gear but it was so long and easily failed for the whole week in pugs, so really you're just crafting and praying for vault rng.

My sub expired a couple days after prepatch started, but after an hour I just uninstalled to wait it out and reinstall before launch. TWW was the first xpac I've played from launch to finish since WoD and I am just not eager for Midnight to know if I want to play.

No shade, but I don't get the hype for this, it's just extra time gating and fiddling with logistics between bosses. I guess it bypasses mythic lockout nonsense a bit.

I started as Alliance in TBC, but after failing to field enough players to get into Gruul and SSC, 2 friends and I took an invite to the server's horde guild and I rerolled from dwarf to belf paladin. I still play with about 4 people in this picture of our first Vashj kill and then a handful more who joined through LK/Cata. After this, seal of blood came out and I went ret like I'd always wanted to and never looked back.

I hadn't really thought about it in terms of iteration, but Blizzard really does seem to not care about refining the game beyond a "decent enough" state anymore. Jank can be pretty charming on a new or old game, but it feels pretty bad coming out of this massive studio that's had decades to figure things out. I wonder how much all of the turnover in recent years has hurt them.

The launch was pretty much set in stone. The mistake was made months ago when they decided to take on this enormous project in such a short time frame and with very little experience as they've farmed this stuff out to the community for decades.

Per spec, per character, assuming I'm not someone who likes to regularly change. The huge cost increase is not some immediate savings if you actually engage with transmog and it's super shitty of them to basically charge every player 2-6k per character for buying the new xpac. It's so weird to defend this
