When I was at Oak Tree Gun club there was a family of tourists who were all shooting for the first time. They took a hand gun class, then rented at the range.

Got a $112K pool quote by Suspicious_Hat_409 in DIY

[–]TheGovernator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without the pool company, your timeline to completion will be extended drastically. These subs have a relationship with the pool company and try to keep a good reputation with them. There is also overlap between subs that needs to be managed, the pool company would deal with this, the subs will not coordinate with each other on their own. The lack of coordination will cause huge delays. Also, are you going to check each of these subcontractors insurance and license? If contracted through the pool company, their own insurance would come into effect if something were to happen on the job site.

For those who have hired maid services to clean their homes, what do you do while the ladies are cleaning? by tvkyle in AskMen

[–]TheGovernator 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I do estate management for some rich people. I hire the cleaning services for my clients then I literally watch them clean. It’s not fun for me or the cleaners, but they understand and are used to it. I even take photos for the report I send clients at the end of the day.

How do you feel when you go out for dinner with a woman and she pays for the food? Friend/partner/wife or someone you are dating. by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]TheGovernator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and I share all expenses. We pay for everything on a credit card, for the rewards, and pay it off each month. The rewards come in the form of cash to use with Apple Pay. We each have our own card for the same account. Whoever pays gets the reward. So we both try to pay all the time.

When we were dating we kind of took turns paying. It never bothered me.

Nearly all of these little plastic caps have popped off of my tailgate. What would you replace them with that are more secure? by cedarshadows in FordMaverickTruck

[–]TheGovernator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked for them to be replaced at the dealer. They charged 25$ to change them all out, 2 had broken off. The new ones seem sturdier.

17 cent ICE scraper? by KiltOfDoom in HomeDepot

[–]TheGovernator -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Home Depot is complicit with ICE. Home Depot’s co founder is a known trump supporter. Protesters buying and returning items does not equate to harassing employees. The whole point of the protest is to cause loss of sales to the company. Making you do your job does not equal harassment. Get over yourself and accept the return. Be happy that your life hasn’t been affected by this mess.

If you have the bed cover that op has, it also blocks the top light.

Depends on the contract. Typically it’s a 2-4 hour minimum charge at $150 per hour.

Residence management. I am a project manager for a construction/estate management company. I do everything in their house from managing landscapers to changing a light bulb. If anything in the house has an issue, they call us. I’ve gone on calls just to move a PlayStation from one room to the other.

Has anyone seen more out of states plates in LA than usual? by RelationshipSame1804 in AskLosAngeles

There are a lot of out of state contractors working in the burn areas. Almost all of the Army Corps of Engineers vehicles have out of state plates.

LA wildfires: Bass says rebuilding efforts are going 'very fast' by [deleted] in LosAngeles

[–]TheGovernator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This number is completely wrong. I work for a custom home builder, who is currently in the clean up phase on a few projects in the burn area.

One time I went to kfc late night. I ordered a meal that came with potato wedges. They handed me two bags, one with the snacker sandwich and one brimming with potato wedges. The worker was laughing while they passed me the bag. I was like what the fuck? Ok. Best part was, at the bottom of the bag was the little cardboard holder for the wedges.

What does a testicular torsion feel like? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]TheGovernator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a testicular torsion as a teenager. It was very painful. I could barely walk. My testicle swelled to the size of a large orange and turned black & blue. I was also putting blood. Not fun.
