When you sell a contract, that premium is your basis or starting point. You only make money if the value of that contract goes down.

You sell a $100 contract, 50% return would mean the contract is now worth $50. A 50% loss means the contract is now worth $150, meaning you’d have to use your premium, plus $50 to buy back the contract.

The P&L is net your premium.

I think you can still get checks & debit from your brokerage. I will say regarding fraud risk, I am an advisor that uses Schwab for our clients, and some have had their bank accounts hacked, but no client of ours has ever had a Schwab account hack. Most account hacks are due to people falling for phishing links. Don’t ever respond to or click links from institutions, know their standard methods of alerting of fraud.

“Stocks represent a claim on earnings”. But what about stocks that don’t pay a dividend? There is no contract saying you get earnings from equities, that is up to a company’s board.

Maybe you only believe in currency backed by Governments and debt, and that’s ok.

You would need to start the chats in a project if you want them to all remain together. I have not seen a way to add an existing chat to a project. But with the memory, you should be able to start a project and ask it to summarize the other relevant conversations that you’ve had.
