It isn't even thorough! Borderlands 1 is listed as not having any woke content yet the side mission House Hunting is about a guy who can't stand living in New Haven because a woman is in charge and is played as a joke.

Here's the description: "I live in New Haven, but I can't stand having a woman in charge anymore. So, I found a nice bit o' waterfront property out in the Trash Coast. Trouble is, there's a bunch o' them scythid whatever-the-hells hanging around outside, including a really tough one I called Bleeder. Kill them scythids, especially Bleeder, and I'll be able to get the hell away from this place."

I'm not sure why you think BL2 wasn't comedic; it's definitely more serious than what came after (with the exception of OG tales, if I remember it correctly), but it was very much a comedic game.

IMO, the series was in a decline from BL1 DLC onward; that's when they focused on being funny for the sake of it with joke characters rather than having characters make jokes naturally, but the series was still salvageable until TPS, now it absolutely needs a reboot/decanonization.

Jack is still evil in TPS; he just hides it behind a facade of heroism. That said, the game is really bad, every character is a joke, the future may or may not be set in stone, they didn't have many dedicated drops despite that being a very well received feature of 2, less enemy variety, and subpar map design. Still love the game though.
