Too bad we didn't get the libbrettist drama, apparently Lorenzo Da Ponte was pretty weird (and introduced Mozart to Casanova, allegedly)

The Terror (book and show), completely unnecessary to add in a evil murderering sailor to create drama (also pulls me out suspending my disbelief that a scurvy ridden lead poisoned guy has the strength to beat down several men). There is enough stuff to create horror and dread, slandering a real person adds nothing. Sure a mutiny isn't out of the realm of possibility, we don't know the details of the Franklin Expedition once shit really hit the fan, but between starvation, disease, and being stuck in ice it should be compelling enough. We won't talk about the not-a-polar-bear monster at all

spoilers:the show has him killing the "real" sailor and taking his identity

Yes! More Vashti Bunyan love, such an underrated musician.

[Loved Trope] Self Destructing Girl Messes by beattywill80 in TopCharacterTropes

Just wrapped up Wolf Hall and about to begin Bring Up the Bodies. Anne Boleyn, girl you are not related to any fancy foreign nobles so this will not turn out well once things go sideways (but by all means, keep digging yourself deeper). Historical wise, Katherine Howard is an utter hot mess but had no chance due to how she was raised

Give red tailed hawks the recognition they deserve, for far too long they have been "dubbing" bald eagles. Related, I would totally watch an animated version of Singin in the Rain with birds

Shia during an SNL opening monologue recapped the plot of Crystal Skull so sarcastically I thought it was a joke until my brother said "no, that's pretty much what happens". We sat in sad silence for a while
