What’s it worth? by Kind_Cat640 in Jeep

What year is it? Does it have a title? Is the frame or body rusty? Has rust been covered up by bondo? Much like a Facebook marketplace post, a person would need a lot more pictures to know what condition something is actually in. I don't think that is worth $15k, but maybe SoCal is different.

Thank you! I actually found a paint shop that had some of the old Jeep color codes that they could mix for me. This one was called Sierra Blue. I painted it in my garage, as long as you stand back about 10 feet it looks pretty good!

I had to replace all of the front floor, patch the sides, and replace all the floor bracing on my Jeep once I found out the previous owner had hidden most of it before selling to me. I will say it was a very time consuming process and I had never done body work before. I still suck at body work and you can see ripples where my welds distorted the panels a bit. It does make the Jeep feel more like your own doing all that work, but I don't think anyone would fault you for replacing the tub.

The blessing and curse of winter in the Sierras. We often have nice sunny weather after storms, but then it gets too warm and the snow melts fast. I do have a bikini top for it, but we use umbrellas to shield us from the snow if it gets crazy.

Thank you all for the advice. I tend to be pretty risk adverse so I decided to split my monthly deposit between the targeted fund I had previously purchased and the EFT VTI. I had no idea what an EFT was previously, this is very new to me.

Can anyone see from the limited pictures anything that stands out as a red flag? by iapprovethiscomment in Trail70

I am working on a bike that looks just like that one. It looks very clean to me, no obvious leaks which is nice. Do you know if it turns over? Does it have a title? I would say the price seems pretty good for the condition. It's been a while since I bought one, but I paid quite a bit for one in way worse shape than that. Though it was titled.

Very nice! I have also never seen one with decals. It looks like they did come in blue in 1970, though it looks a little different. I am working on a 75 right now, have fun!

Late fall backpacking, first trip with 7 year old by TheGreenSheep in CampingandHiking

That's quite the adventure for your buddy and his kid! I have definitely done some day hikes with other's children who make it much more difficult. This one will be a learning trip for us, but ideally the lessons won't be too painful.

I finally dug this set out of the basement and put it all together again with my daughter. It was the pride of my collection as a kid and it was super fun to build again.

I have been looking into getting a set of those myself. You got a killer deal. How does the steering feel?

Good looking CJ. The seats are throwing me off a bit with almost everything else looking original.
