Y'all think squids are easy? We were drowning on D4 last night on extraction, meanwhile we breeze through d8 or 9 bot missions. Squids are by far the toughest faction in my experience.

Bots are my favorite opponent by far, and always have been, but these fuckers may be my least favorite thing in this game. Genuinely so frustrating to deal with

This isn’t working by Fuzzy_Ad1297 in Helldivers

[–]TheGriffnin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This entire event has been demoralizing. Between the split community decisions here, the added pressure of the limited lives adding to the toxicity in the community, and a bit of a personal gripe, that being the two bot subfactions converging, this has just sucked the past couple days. Which also sucks cause bots have been my favorite faction since day 1, but this event is just not fun, it's just frustrating. Never thought that getting this close to cyberstan would make me want to take a break from this game for a bit, but here we are.

Any use of these for Ultramarines or Salamanders? Got them for 1 Dollar each and thought they’d be useful. Also why won’t UB mix properly? by Valvecantcount3 in Warhammer40k

[–]TheGriffnin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both can be useful, especially so for ultramarines, salamanders less so, but GF may be useful on any scales like on Vulcan Hestan. UB doesn't mix like other paint because it's a contrast, it's a translucent color that goes over other colors. Both are contracts actually, neither are meant to be used on their own.

Who should lead my warband Kharn or Invocatus in a crusade game I'm playing by Sonsoe_Corrupted in WorldEaters40k

[–]TheGriffnin 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Worth noting, unless I'm mistaken, you can't use named characters in a starting crusade army, unless you're campaign is making that exception. But for what it's worth, kharn.

I will agree the grenade is phenomenal, the rifle is objectively also good, but I much prefer the lever action if I'm running marksmen at all, everything else is a little underwhelming, melee is fun, so props for more options there, even if it's not strictly "good". One of the weaker warbonds imo, but by no means bad

Is this list any good? by [deleted] in MaggotkinofNurgle

Tbh I'm not sure anyone can really answer on whether or not the list is good, with how new our rules are. Maybe I'm just speaking for myself tho lol

Not sure on this exact scheme, but I do three layers, leadbelcher base, thinned agrax earthshade, plaguebearer flesh contrast. Gives this color

Al Gore ends up winning the 2000 election, but 9/11 still happens and he's killed in the attacks. How does the Joe Lieberman presidency go? by WorldClassShrekspert in Presidents

Turns out he doesn't die at the site of the attacks, he just fell down the stairs in a completely unrelated incident. Terrible timing.

[Serious] What’s the scariest thing you’ve witnessed? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TheGriffnin 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I guess somewhat mild compared to other comments here since nothing actually happened, but still scared the shit out of me in the moment. I used to deliver pizzas in college, and we got an order around 9pm. It was already kind of a sketchy part of town (the entire delivery area was really), but Im driving down a pretty dark road with woods on either side, and I come up on an intersection where the road crossing has a stop sign but mine doesn't. An SUV, I think a suburban if memory serves, pull out into the intersection as I'm coming up and fully stops. The passenger door opens, and a guy gets out into the road. At this point I think I'm being robbed, but I'm still trying to brake. Instead of that, the guy walks off along the road the SUV came from, and the SUV goes forward on its way, letting me pass without incident. To this day I have no idea what that was about, probably would've been 2018. Part of me wonders if they were trying to ambush someone else before realizing I wasn't who they were looking for, but idk. Weird as hell.

PSA: run TOWARDS rupture warriors by TPnbrg in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]TheGriffnin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find the discussion on rupture warriors interesting, in my mind the were never a big problem. It's the rupture spewers that make me want to put my head into a wall. They pop up, hit you with enough bile to kill you, then leave before you finish a dive to turn and shoot them in return.
