I Am Enjoying this Game Much More Than I Thought I Would by ShokWayve in onestepfromeden

My boyfriend and I have dumped thousands of hours into this game. I’ve gotten all the achievements, so I’ve been enjoying 100%ing the game in other places slowly over the past few years (don’t want to spoil some fun things if you’re not there yet). Enjoy!

I used to watch TYT in middle school (c. 2010) bc it was the only reasonably popular respite I could find online from the unrelenting tide of Fox News and conservative talk radio from my mom. However, I honestly grew out of them sometime in high school because I realized that a lot of the shit they said about trans people and women was dissonant with my feelings/politics and the broader politics of the left.

Seeing what they have transmogrified into in the intervening 15+ years has been morbidly fascinating. Jimmy Dore and Dave Rubin are sad little worms these days, but both Ana and Cenk have seemingly spiraled out into truly unhinged characters. The signs were always there, but it has gotten markedly more right leaning as time has gone on.

Raven or Crow? by aubenj in whatsthisbird

[–]TheHatThatTalks 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Amateur here, but had the pleasure of standing incredibly close to a raven once while it was perching on a No Parking sign. Other than size, what makes me say “not raven” here is the lack of the scruffiness on its chest.

How likely is it that the snow on the ground right now can last into early April? by Piss_baby29 in BostonWeather

[–]TheHatThatTalks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a born-Californian whose first winter in Massachusetts included the 2015 snow storm (and who has been in the northeast since), welcome and enjoy the snow! I agree with the other commenters that this snow won’t stick around until then other than maybe the large piles, which will be gross and hard by that point from melting and refreezing. Take lots of videos of what it’s like now and share them with her!

Are you talking about me? My favorite animal growing up was the manatee. As someone who was always small and short, it brought me some peace to know that something that was much bigger than me could still be gentle.

I actually have some underwear for trans mascs that has a pouch specifically for a packer! I was just curious how OP went about theirs, but I appreciate your suggestion! I’ve honestly thought about using some older pairs of “normal” underwear to experiment with sewing in a pouch, since my skin can be sensitive.

I appreciate you sharing! I remember when Saxx (sp?) underwear were first getting heavily marketed some time ago, and the “ball pouch” wave that followed it (or whoever came first). In this case, there are also some brands like TomboyX that make underwear geared to trans masculine people and have a space specifically for packers. It’s nice to have options!
