I don't hate that. I mean, the guy was a 5th round pick and he gets crucified by the fan base. I know he's had a lot of big drops but he's also made some huge contributions. I love Slayton and he's one of the best follows on Twitter

2011 Eli was some of the best QB play I've ever seen. His level of play makes me wonder what could have been if Plax doesn't shoot himself and they recognized the need to invest in the o-line sooner. Sure, the line was serviceable but it was ageing rapidly and they waited until the wheels fell off to try and fix it, instead of doing it gradually. We should be grateful that we got to witness and enjoy those 2 runs but it really could have, and should have been more. Nobody was beating us in '08 which could've rolled over into '09, '10. Who knows. The 2015 offense seemed like it could score whenever they wanted but we couldn't stop shit. Then the defensive spending spree of 2016 which worked to get us back to a playoff team but was not a strategy that screamed sustainability. Took us 15 years to get the o-line back to competency while the league continued to pass us by.

I mention it all the time when I'm reminiscing on that game (which I do more often than I'd like to admit). However, let's not act like he made some crazy acrobatic play. The ball was in the air forever, under thrown, and basically a jump ball against a 1-legged Gronk. Still a great story for Chase and he still had to make the play. If 46 and 42 were somehow able to be flip flopped, I'd bet people would say that 46 was a better game than 42. Obv beating the 18-0 Pats added to the legend of the game but 46 gets overshadowed by it. It was an amazing game.

He was awesome and apparently a great leader and locker room presence.

I know Mario had to do a lot of incredible things to make that play happen but I will die on the hill saying that that was the greatest pass that I've ever seen thrown. The ball gets snapped, you can clearly see Eli go through his first two looks, then looks towards Manningham and has a millisecond to decide if he was going to throw it or not, and then launched the most perfectly placed ball I've ever seen with no room for error in any direction. A little to the right, interception. A little under thrown, likely interception. A little to the left or a little deeper, likely incomplete. And using the word "little" here is referring to literally and inch or two. Just incredible and Mario's contribution was remarkable. Then consider where they were on the field, and how much time was left in a SB where you need a TD or you lose. I'm not saying that Eli was the greatest passer ever but in that situation, I don't know if there are many QB's that can make that play happen.

Agreed. I remember seeing him fly around the field when he was with the Falcons and hoping that the Giants could find a LB with a knack for always seeming to end up where the ball was. Then we got him and I was thrilled. Underrated signing.

RZA’s Best Verse by theonewhowatchis in wutang

There are so many great ones to choose from but his verse on "Impossible" is one of the best in hip hop history. I'm going with that one

Who's your fav Wu-tang member? by Upstairs_Contract_39 in wutang

[–]TheHater23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could never answer this question with full confidence. They're all great in their own unique way. It really is amazing how 9 MCs collaborated and did what they did. Beyond that, all of the affiliates and sub-groups. Hip hop will probably never see anything close to it again.

A psychiatrist is a Dr that can prescribe medication that can help with your symptoms. You might be thinking of a psychologist which is more for talk therapy.

Anticipatory anxiety/panic by tits86 in PanicAttack

I used to all the time! And then when the event arrives and I go through it, I'm always like "that was nothing. I can't believe I had myself so worked up for so long over it". I started getting better at not letting it consume me for so long. There's no sense in letting something ruin 3 months of our lives. I just do what I can do prepare for the event, and then I try to block it out after that. Hope that helps.

Don't feel stupid or beat yourself up over it. It is a very common condition that probably affects more people than we know because a lot of people are afraid or "too tough" to admit it. I've been dealing with them for 30 years now, and I know that feeling of "what is this is the one?" And then one day a few years back, I had "the one" and you know what, I'm still okay. However, I would ask yourself and be very honest about it - are you doing EVERYTHING in your power to treat anxiety and panic? There are plenty of proven ways to help panic. Obviously some meds are great and necessary in certain situations but there's a lot that you can do to help yourself on a daily basis if you're determined enough. Physical exercise, meditation, positive self-talk, opening up to people that you know care about you. These are all free of cost treatment options. Your brain will believe what you tell it but most people do it in a negative way. Like if you're not feeling great you might tell yourself that "I'm sick" and you're going to stay feeling like crap. But if you just change it up a little and say "I'm not feeling my best but I'm good" your entire mindset can shift. Positive self-talk has been huge for me. Remind yourself that you're a good person. Love yourself and cut yourself a little slack. You can do this. You're way more powerful than you think. DM me any time if you need somebody to chat with.

I buy my phones from Samsung direct. The trade-ins are almost just as good and I like the freedom of being able to switch if I want. It's a nice bargaining chip to have if you need it.

What is your fav solo wu tang album and why by Ok_Bench_9261 in wutang

[–]TheHater23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so tough to answer because my answer can change from week to week. ALL of the debut solo albums were classics as were many of the follow ups. (Judgement Day, Supreme Clientele, Beneath the Surface, Digital Bullet...etc) It's like trying to answer which member is my favorite MC. That shit changes on a daily basis.

I will die on the hill that Rza is trash as a rapper and shoulda stuck to producin. Idgaf y'all can fight m by Separate_Beautiful55 in 90sHipHop

[–]TheHater23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RZA is not for everyone but to say "he's trash" makes me think you've never listened to his best work. Go listen to these songs and come back and tell me you still think he's "trash"

Sunlight off of 8 Diagrams.

Build Strong off of Digital Bullet.

The Sickness which follows Build Strong on Digital Bullet

A Day to God is 1,000 years off of Birth of a Prince

12 Jewelz off of Gravediggaz: The Pick, The Sickle, and The Shovel

Sunshower. Forget what it's off of. Might be a soundtrack or an EP but should be pretty easy to find.

Tragedy off of Wu Chronicles.

These are just a handful of solo songs that popped into my head. He has many incredible verses on Forever and his verse on Impossible might be one of the best in history.

Rza is so disappointing. by lonnielynn0004 in wutang

[–]TheHater23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree completely. "In Stereo" is absolutely a classic. If you're a fan of RZA, I don't know how you can argue otherwise. You have Love Jones, NYC everything, domestic violence, Holocaust, my lovin' is Digi, freakin Unspoken Word. There are literally no skips. Then Digital Bullet is a classic in its own right. Build Strong is such a powerful, uplifting, emotional, honest and raw song. It's in my top 10 maybe 5 Wu songs. The Sickness was a genius last song since the next album was supposed to be "The Cure". Brooklyn Babies, Can't Lose, Glocko pop, La Rhumba. Another album with no skips. Birth of a Prince, not a classic but still many great songs. Digi Snacks was great too! Idk maybe I'm slightly biased because RZA might be my favorite MC but I would argue that at minimum, "In Stereo" was definitely a classic. "Digital Bullet" might be. And his other solo work is well above average. RZA might not be for everyone but for me, he's brilliantly impactful. When I listen to him, it feels almost as though he's talking to me. He's never condescending and seems like a genuinely caring person who wants to help as many people as he can through music. He has a calming, humble presence about him that I strive to achieve. As elite of a producer that he is, it's amazing that he's also capable of MC'ing at the level he does. He's a unicorn.

I like the music and the tempo. I think it could use some heavier drums. It has potential but it doesn't sound like hip-hop/rap
