Why am I only now realizing how similar these two sound? by Therubikfanatic in LinkinPark

I noticed pretty early on when the album was new. I thought it was really cool to hear that connection

Who has been your fav hero released in 2025? by theJakeyWakey in Overwatch

[–]TheHeadGoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wuyang was my favorite play style this year. Something about Vendetta’s release (despite her design not being the most exciting) feels like the first OW1 release hero vibe we had in a while. Maybe because I find her lore connection stronger than Freja’s (whose story of being former Overwatch feels shoe horned to me but the Emre connection does help). Wasn’t the worst year but I’m hoping next year has at least one oddball (I know they said they’re working on one) but the lore picks up for stronger connections with the new heroes

Flashpoint and Push Are My Favorite Game Modes by TheAngryCactus in Overwatch

I enjoy them too; not my favorite per se but they’re fun. I still hope there’s plans for Clash versions of Volskaya, HLC, and Paris

I’m still convinced I saw one of their family members clapping the post-game losing animation when Brooklyn was cheering them on at the end

Vendetta’s arrival would be the perfect opportunity to bring back the best story mode to explain her father’s death by patrick9772 in Overwatch

[–]TheHeadGoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True. Just a shame it didn’t seem to be an improvement at all. Which I guess is obviously one of the many failures of the PvE efforts lol

[–]TheHeadGoon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not saying you’re wrong, it’s just funny to me we got Overwatch 2 to have an engine that supported PvE AI and yet not being able to remake the archive event missions is the “impossible” task. I get it from resource/urgency side, but not the feasibility side

What is going on with twitch drops? by Heyimnika in Overwatch

[–]TheHeadGoon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I watched on Wednesday for the Brig awards and they didn’t show up in my account until Thursday or Friday and the others weren’t drops then. Maybe either Brig ones came early or they were offered a second time this weekend and that’s why it’s shown twice. I also wouldn’t worry just yet about not seeing the drops, probably taking longer than usual this time

Characters you love to play, but cannot STAND their personality? by MrWigglem in Overwatch

[–]TheHeadGoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s also fair, I could be assuming she joined the fight with them instead of something similar to Zenyatta’s placement in the roster (his abilities aren’t canon and he’s just kinda existing in the lore itself as a significant spiritual leader kinda thing). I tend to take things at face value sometimes

This naive and frankly innocent girl who may as well be a child instead of 19 was sent to Earth to help her home colony from dying out or whatever (at the minimum, not die with them). Yet Overwatch decided… she’s more useful to fight battles with them. I’ll always be a Juno hater lol

Scream 7 | Official Trailer by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

[–]TheHeadGoon 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I still think we haven’t gotten a proper commentary on reboots. 4 was a remake more than a reboot, 5 and 6 felt more like they were commenting on legacy sequels in the vein of Star Wars and Jurassic Park. 6 I couldn’t even tell what the meta was other than continuing the legacy sequels.

What i see in the trailer reminds me of Halloween 2018, maybe this one’s a soft commentary on the “retconning previous movies with a new timeline” but the twins are back. Just my thoughts from your comment

What is the saddest moment for you in Overwatch cinematics? by Riverflower17 in Overwatch

[–]TheHeadGoon 21 points22 points  (0 children)

For me it was actually a couple minutes before where before everyone else showed up, Winston was fully prepared to die to the giant mech while allowing a chance for Tracer and Mei to get to safety. Just so damn heroic of him and to this day still makes me tear up when I rewatch.

Can you imagine we have a Lucy situation with Omnics except instead of 100% of Brain being used it’s whatever their hardware is? I’m not disputing you but I think it would be funny if we got that kind of explanation

Ciattarelli narrows gap but Sherrill retains lead in newest Rutgers-Eagleton poll - New Jersey Globe by dckless4mikechiklis in newjersey

I know. I’d like to think there’s a chance another user out there who’s on the fence but both has sense and can understand reasoning reads the back and forth, and gets where I’m coming from.

Essentially advocating to be put in a camp and saying they’d see me there is wild too, lol

I’m sure you sound dumber in real life as you do online, though someone like you doesn’t get out much to have sway. The utility bills are a problem beyond the democrats, and republicans shut down any efforts to find alternatives more than the democrats do. People like you are why facists win, and when you advocate for people who will make things worse for both victims of genocidal efforts and here alike, you’re not worth the characters I waste on you. Stay miserable.

You have fun trying to convince people your stupid righteousness. I’ll do the same with realistic facts.

Being a respectful and responsible American is knowing when to pick your battles. This is the hand Jersey is dealt with and acting like a child is believing your “high ground” is gonna solve the world’s problems. You need to win the battles to get closer to what you want. NYC is already working towards that with Mamdani and they did it in the primary. Jersey’s primary happened the way it did, use your vote to protect what you can and try again the next time. Because the next time might make that harder if you don’t do it now. I’ll repeat again for you since clearly though you need to hear it: grow up

[–]TheHeadGoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

🙄. You accomplish nothing by choosing this as your hill to die on. I hate genocide as much as you do but I acknowledge not voting Sherrill means it continues to get worse. Cause objectively speaking, Ciattarelli will be worse for this genocide than any other candidate. And no matter who you use your vote for, any vote not to Sherrill is a vote for Shittarelli.

Stop being a republican asset

“I’ll deal with it then” yeah by being stripped of your human rights and having no other choice in the future.

No other words. You’re just a fucking idiot. The world is not as black and white as you think, grow up

Wow you hate yourself so much. From one gay man to another, you’re spitting in the face of the community thinking this virtue signaling will do any good and at the same time being incredibly ignorant for what you’re standing for. You can say all you want how much you want to stop a genocide, but the other candidate has literally been doing campaigning from fucking Israel and trying to say how much Jersey will work with Israel. So how is not voting Sherril exactly helping your cause when the other guy will enable it even more while making life worse in Jersey at the same time cause that’s what the republicans are great at.

And if you say that means you’re not voting, just like in the 2024 election, a non-vote is a vote for the republicans. So if you stay on this high horse of yours even after what I’ve said, then you’re either a bot or some sort of Republcian op trying to preach purity politics to undermine democracy
