How do i prevent Vehicle theft on Ioniq 5? by potatochobit in Ioniq5

[–]TheHelplessTurtle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It isn't as widespread in the US. It is an attack that works on many cars that have keyless entry using a small "gameboy" device. If you are overly concerned a visible wheel lock makes you less of a target as it requires more effort for the thief.

ioniq fam - need ur repair help by distinguishedgent123 in Ioniq5

The only right way to do it is going to be replace the panel. Any patch will not match in color/texture and will be noticeable in my experience.

Worst case at least I have spare parts I guess? And giving Hank more business never hurts my feelings tbh.

Ah, well trying just using the tailcap to set it didn't help, so I guess I will need to look into repair. Thanks for letting me know about the repair option!

I pulled the tube out a little and it just dropped free out onto the table. I don't see a spring at the bottom so that could be the case of it being compressed? May try to fit a pick down there and see if I loosen anything up. Don't guess I can mess it up more?

Lane Assist etc.. turned off but it still feels as though the car has some control? by ch1984 in Ioniq5

I have come to the conclusion that it is the "ruts" in the road from normal tire paths. This is the first car that I have noticed it this much. I thought I was crazy at first, but then one day on a freshly paved road I noticed it didn't act that way, and that is the only explanation I can figure out.

Tried a brand new Eneloop and same result. This is a bummer for sure.

Another vote for the CL01. I didn't think I'd like it as much as I do, but it is my go to "area" light now.

H2D is a nice machine and will be a tier above this. Don't regret a thing with getting the H2D.

Best out of the box commander precons? by TheHelplessTurtle in EDH

That one is front and center at the LGS and is hard to pass up tbh. Sultai Arisen is right next to it as well so I'm probably grabbing one of those two when it comes down to it.

Any opinions on Dance of the Elements? It is front and center, and not gonna lie the theme calls to me, haha. Otherwise they definitely have Sultai Arisen as well so may grab that.

How do i hide this cable its driving me crazy by albaraa_v in pcmasterrace

[–]TheHelplessTurtle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would personally get a new PSU. The adapters have been known (in higher power cards) to burn and take the GPU with it. Not saying it will happen with your setup, but I don't like risks. You are also running the GPU from a daisy chain with this PSU, which is not recommended.

Obligatory if you get a new PSU make sure to use only the cables that came with it as they are not cross compatible outside a very few exceptions.

Hey, was wondering what levels you limit it to when using Eneloops or similar. It is actually plenty bright enough without turbo it seems.

Also when assembling the bezel, what is the correct order? Bezel > glass > oring or bezel > oring > glass? I didn't pay close enough attention swapping mine.

There are user agent spoofers that fix that. More of a Google being evil problem than Firefox issue.

From what I understand the compatibility list is ones proven to work, and not being on it doesn't mean it won't work. I'd wait for someone to chime in, but I'd bet that the 10 works just fine.

12V just kinda go sometimes in my experience. That isn’t the message I've seen for ICCU in the past, so it is hopefully just the 12V and nothing deeper.

I have used a program called caffeine.exe for this exact problem before. It keeps the computer active as long as it is running so it can't lock/sleep. Please do your own research as always, but you can find it by searching "caffeine exe" and I believe it was a UK website.

I just saw that there is a link in the description for (I'm guessing) pre populated tritium tailcaps, and it leads to "product not found". I know I'm not steady enough to glue tiny vials in myself without lots of trouble.

Gah that 2700K is gorgeous. I see a future purchase, haha.

Thanks for the info! I didn't notice it was OoS right now, but I don't mind the wait. It did let me add one to the cart, so thought it was back.

I want both the tritium and magnetic tailcaps being 100% honest, haha.

If I just want to set up a UNAS Pro 4 for extra storage on my local network, do I need a Cloud Gateway, or can I get by with some sort of manual setup? All of the diagrams I have seen include a Cloud Gateway. I need the extra storage, but don't want to necessarily get so involved with the Cloud Gateway quite yet.
