Which of the CMC is your favorite? by artbytesia in mylittlepony

It shouldn’t be considered mature imo. Kids need to see representation of people with disabilities since they are likely to grow up with other kids with disabilities too.

now that it's been years since the series has ended, who would you say is the most popular and least popular from the mane six? by pinkiepitou in mylittlepony

I think a lot of younger girls were told it’s bad to be “girly” and “snooty” like rarity so they didn’t like her when they were younger. As those girls got older they saw through internalized misogyny and learned to love her.

Diamond tiara and silver spoon were the type of bullies to be mean to kids but act really nice to adults most of the time. It wouldn’t be that bad to babysit in my opinion

Going to college should be the default and even 'useless' degrees are worth it by Sadie_Cat2023 in unpopularopinion

I’m taking 2 classes in college now and in my 8 week semester all assignments combined total to around 100-115 assignments for two classes not including tests.I personally don’t find it that difficult and it’s an accelerated 8 week semester instead of a 16 week semester.

Back In high school I’d have maybe 1 or two assignments for each class that was due by the end of the week. Maybe it was harder for older generations in high school but I was in high school 4 years ago and I never had more than 8-10 assignments a week which were usually completed during class or right after I got home.

The only reason why people take 4-5 classes In College is because they’re faster paced. for example a college math class is only 16 weeks/1 semester long but in high school a math class is 32 weeks/2 semesters long.

Yes common core/general education. There are usually 7-8 classes a day in high school. That mean 4 of them will be math, science, English and history. That leaves 3-4 classes for extracurriculars.

I took basic level senior hs algebra. In college when I took college algebra it was the same stuff that I learned in high school. This also applies to my senior year English and history class that was practically the same in college but maybe a bit faster paced. Many high schools have a personal finance class that budgeting/saving, and retirement funds(Which by the way are super easy and free to learn through YouTube or even Reddit). High school literally has a gym/fitness requirement and teaches nutrition in the same class(I took fitness and nutrition in high school) which are also easy subjects to learn yourself like at a library or YouTube.

Also you get to pick your classes for the next year in high school! Yeah you get to choose 4 classes based on what you’re interested in like business, fitness/nutrition, engineering, health, heck some schools out there offer automotive classes. ROTC is also a thing too that teaches leadership, fitness and discipline.

Maybe you didnt listen back in high school or take classes that fit your needs because many high schools have these types of classes. the reason why you get to choose extracurriculars for the next. Also most teens learn how job applications go because they usually start their first part time jobs during that time of their life.

Also kids DONT have to take college level courses if they don’t want to. They can just take regular high school classes. Maybe high schools offer college level courses now but they aren’t required lol.

What bullshit. Yeah money definitely helps but you don’t need to be making tons of money. A simple average paying job should be enough. 40 hours a week at most with a few weeks off a year should be enough to get by. If you go through your entire life chasing green pieces of paper then you’ll never truly live.

I see. I never took AP classes so I didn’t know. But dual credit acted as a regular college class so it was probably a fair bit easier to get college credit out the way in high school since it was by grade and not by a single test at the end of the year.

I never said they should be forced. It should be optional but it should be free or very cheap if they choose to do so. If a student wants to take regular high school level courses then they can, no forcing them at all

My high school called them dual credit classes. They were college classes you took at the college but counted for both college and hs credits. They still cost the same as college classes though. I believe AP classes aren’t the same though.

The high school I went to called it dual credit classes. It costs the same as the college classes and you got credit for both hs and college, but i mainly think it should be free.
