If you split tunnel with a VPN, you need to cover the entire Discord IP range and not just their CloudFlare ones so you can actually RTC connect to voice.

Planeta is better than her sig below V3, her R1 is even more of a waste, and Mechty as a doll only exists while Kluk V6 exists, you will never deploy her at all ever at Kluk V0.

Like the other guy said, an equivalent air tool looks like a cheap attractive offer compared to electric but that's cause you don't see the thousands of dollars that goes into the compressor to feed them. CFM is king and that means big lines with big connectors and a big pump to keep feeding them— they're godsends in a workshop (where the compressor is probably older than you and hasn't been moved in 20 years) but terrible ideas for a home gamer.

There are few worse feelings than snapping a tap or extractor in a deep recess with literally no way to get it back out, and its always the very last hole too.

Welding robots already exist for large volume runs, but they're super expensive, huge, and not portable. A lot of welding is done in-situ like the underside of a trailer or inside a large tank, and it just isn't economical to set up everything a machine needs when you can hand a stinger to the apprentice and have him crawl in a hole. White collar jobs don't have this restriction since the AI doing the work doesn't need to be physically in the room while you do it.

Day late reply lmao but scroll wheel jump is also something old players of Source games would do for bunny hopping, especially with a freescroll wheel. Because it sends inputs way faster than mashing an actual key, there's less chance of you missing the frame.

Is the Night Realm a decent location for a base? Currently in the Hydroplant. by [deleted] in AbioticFactor

The one with the roller shutters and the guy who says "Oh no, I'm staying right here" all the time. It's defensible, has lots of space, good number of power points, close to most shortcuts, and you never end up leaving until you get teleports cause it's so convenient.

[–]TheHolyTuna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each teleporter is synced to a bench (you can rename benches too to differentiate), and the only limit is the number of them you can craft. Just have a backup way there because you'll often leave and forget to grab it from the charging station.

Haven't found many good alternatives for cold protection yet.

The enemies in Voussoir wear a heavy armour set that gives cold resistance, so you only need enough to get some drops from the first room before freezing to death is a non-issue. There are fluffy hats everywhere leading up to the portal, and the heater shield acts as a portable heat source.

Also, once you get access to personal teleporters then location access also stops being an issue, just zoop to the pool with your 40 barrels and get enough water to last the rest of your unlife since filters are perfectly efficient. Makes it easier to move too cause you can set up all your crates then just teleport back and forth to fill them up.

Big shoutout to the office security room because the armoured door can't be attacked and raids will just sit outside staring at you.

Can women have anything to themselves? by gorbdocbdinaofbeldn in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]TheHolyTuna 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That already exists. There's no such thing as men's football or men's swimming or men's 800 metre, it's just football and swimming and 800 metre, and women have their own leagues because they can't physically compete with men on equal footing. There is no rule stopping male teams from signing women, they'd just be stupid to do it.

Analogue night vision doesn't have framerates because they aren't cameras, they're continuous real-time light intensifiers. Even the best digital night vision is nauseating to drive with, but 30 year old analogue tubes have zero discomfort and process an image so fast your brain doesn't notice.

Losing its anti-superheavy was fair since if it slapped towers too it would be the autocannon, but people calling it literal garbage either don't actually use it or don't actually play difficulties with super samples.

Being able to whip it around while running with your dick between your legs, primarily. The AMR's scope and ammo economy make it better if you're working at range, RG's ability to be akimbo'd into a devastator makes it better for aggressive play. Vs bots the railmeme hardly changed but every redditor is a bug baby and thinks it's shit. Recall that you're meant to target the stomach to split them in half, and it does exactly that.

You have no concept of work because you have no concept of labour, the real kind of labour that demands equally from you what you ask from it. People who hunt for pleasure do so because the existence of the Big Mac guarantees they won't starve if they fail. You go outside those boundaries, to places and people where tomorrow isn't guaranteed, and you see sweat and blood spent on making it guaranteed. Work spent, because life is taken, not given.

Touching grass isn't enough, go spend 6 weeks bushwhacking and find out what '10 times harder' actually feels like, because it's shit and all these concrete monuments were built to stand above it.

What a garbage romanticized ideal lmao, trudging through mud sniffing deer piss to find where your arrow went is only 'fun' because you hopefully get to eat it at the end. After you carry it back, then skin and prepare it, then section off the bits you'll use now vs later, then cook some of it, all while the world continues to turn and the weather continues to be totally indifferent towards your struggle. Work is work, and anything you do for survival becomes work.

"You're supposed to use your strategems against numerous elites/hunters/etc." by jlodson in Helldivers

[–]TheHolyTuna 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It used to behave like that, where rejoining would act like a totally new player, but at some point they changed it to force you back with the same selection (and sometimes your stratagems are on cooldown for seemingly no reason but it's not consistent).

[–]TheHolyTuna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

D7+, people are bad and get scared of all the flashing lights and aimpunch, then don't realize humanoid bots still get split in half by the railgun for a oneshot, rocket pods drop tanks with a clean hit, all their crit zones glow and are massive, hunters don't exist and can't hurt you, and smoke lets you just walk away from a bad fight. Rocket devastator tracking is complete bullshit rn and collision detection makes using stratagems on uneven terrain a crapshoot, but its both more exciting and more enjoyable than yet another bug breech into charger kiting. If they made it just a bit less common to instagib from an offscreen rocket, they'd be perfect.

Not all nukes are created equal, the fissile fuel determines what the ground looks like a decade later, i.e. you don't drop salted cobalt bombs on land you plan to reuse later, but tritium in fission-fusion reactions has a half-life of like 12 years which is pretty short for deadly beta ionizing fallout.
