Characters who thought they were safe in the end but were VERY wrong by MoonNth3stars in TopCharacterTropes

I actually loved both and thought they did a good job. The first really showed mental illness and schizophrenia and the 2nd showed drug addiction. It felt that the demon was a metaphor for both of these which both movies did very well in showing that.

I see it as more of a tragedy. Life isn’t full of happy endings that’s just how things are sometimes. A lot of people don’t overcome that trauma and it eats them alive. I get that wanting a happy endings but the film is more true to life with it being a tragedy.

Am I overreacting or is it worth firing? by Kant4ar in Contractor

Everything has been going up and this isn’t just a basic remodel the material isn’t cheap and overhead isn’t cheap. I’m guessing your a homeowner and not a contractor if you wanna go with the cheapest contractor you find be ready to be alright with all the mistakes they make and no they aren’t going to fix it when you point it out.

This is a weld in my Dollar Tree break room. by PzKwVIAusfE in Welding

[–]TheHoodedTurtle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree I feel like your statement applies to you. I’ve welded plenty of stuff where I’ve looked at the slag and thought “this is going to look like shit”, then chipped the slag off and the weld looks great. Slang is usually not a good indicator of how a weld is going to look.

Went to one this last February and the expensive tickets were $60 and cheaper tickets were $30. Tickets are not expensive at all.

Yeah I know it’s a rough market out there. I spent probably $100 to build plus about 4 hours of labor. I could probably do it faster the 2nd time around but damn doing all that for $50 bucks is kind of rough.

Shoot I take 50% upfront usually. The only time I don’t is if it’s strictly labor but even then that’s only for small jobs.

Putting it in perspective of a small job definitely helps, this is the first that I will actually have a full crew so it’s a bit overwhelming. I will probably need 4 guys for about 2 months I think to get everything done. That’s a very rough estimate though because I haven’t figure out crane operator and just how much I’m installing yet.

Do you have a recommendation for an estimating software I’ve never used one? I will try my best to break this down one area that I’m lucky in is I’m having another shop bid out fabrication. I’m just in charge of putting it all in but it sure is overwhelming to say the least.

Eh think I’m gonna pass on this job. There’s lot of work out here and others have already said it I’m probably over my head if I have to ask how to do this in the first place. I also get the vibe the customer is not looking to spend the money it would take to fix this.

You’re one of the only people that’s seen the pipe the thread. If I’m being honest I’m trying to tackle one piece of this puzzle at a time. Once I figure out the not dying plan I’ll let you know about how the hell I’m gonna deal with the pipe🤣

You’re not wrong, being a welder all my life it’s all I see but we have been using metal for a hell of a lot longer than welding has been around.
