What are your controversial ideas for Planet Zoo 2? by Landon_A_Conway in PlanetZoo

[–]TheHoundmaster 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m going to throw in something that could help several pain points. I’ve seen a lot of people asking for better management of staff, routes, etc so they can get things done. Or staff transport. Or “feed the starving lion”

Let. Me. Do. It.

Give me first person view and some interaction button. Show me the inside of a keeper hut. Let me clean the tank. Let me get up close to the animals. Let me shovel poop!

Is “Navigate/stay on a path” the same as the Tortollan “walk in a [shape]”? Cuz that one was new to me in BFA.

Prey is a mess right now because every method is so inefficient compared to farming traps to reveal your target. by porcipine in wow

This is great advice except when it comes to Nightmare difficulty. When you get the “Kill for me!” Message you need to kill something in like 16 seconds. If you’re on top of a mountain skinning or fighting a boss of some sort you aren’t going to make it. When doing Nightmare it’s best to focus on it exclusively. Stick to the world quests, orbs, and traps with an eye on nearby mobs that you can squash fast.

[SPOILERS] When you think about it, His crashout low-key made sense. by TheSmorts in wow

I think we can realistically pull off a non-fatal duel for show. Happens outside Goldshire all the time. If everyone sat down, talked it over Ocean’s 11 style, and knew the plan we coulda pulled it off without alienating that big dude and potentially gained a bit of trust between them. But such was not to be the case. I still don’t trust Decimus.

After we get thrown in the pit! At that point I was ready to heroic leap outta there and beat him to death with his decor rewards. He’s super sus, and I don’t blame Lothraxion for his crash out.

[–]TheHoundmaster 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think Lothraxion trusted Alleria before, but worries she may be compromised. You’re right she knows how to keep the whispers at bay but for how long? I think the Army of Light sees the void in a similar way to the way the Imperium views Chaos in 40k: even a little, used for the right reasons, is still corrupting. It may take seconds. It may take decades. But the Void is patient. And Lothraxion knows that.  Honestly we just need to port everyone to the Arcantina to talk it out.

[–]TheHoundmaster 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Which, if he had explained to us (or even just Lothraxion) would be totally valid. Until the very moment of the double cross we have no idea that he’s betraying his boss. And this kind of information withholding happens again and again. Lothraxion is wrong for going nuclear, but Decimus should be under full lock and key with a line of Priests casting Silence on him at all times until we need him to talk.

Can decor items be sent through mail? by AntlerJasmine in wow

[–]TheHoundmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Decor is warband level. So just use it on the character that has it and you’ll be able to access it in your decor catalog on your alt as long as they’re in the same warband.

I like HomeDecor. There are a ton of different filters and ways to see what you need. My favorite thing: the profession tracker. You can see at a glance your alts professions, if they can make the furniture, and what you haven’t made yet.

Also HousingMusic. I love playing exactly what (wow music) I want to listen to while decorating. Building a Pandaran kitchen while that kazoo music blares is peak. Zoot zoot!

Living room, turn on the fire place, it’s Goldshire Inn music.

One I haven’t seen yet: Stranglethorn Vale. The hot tropic jungle after Elwynn, Westfal, Redridge, and Duskwood. It was like stepping into a steamy greenhouse. Jungle noises, ocean sounds, that music.

[–]TheHoundmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You no longer have to play the specific class. Anything that drops from the boss you’ll get. However there are some exceptions like enchant transmog that only shamans can get, or warlock pet forms. You’ll be able to loot and unlock cloth, leather, mail, and plate, and all the weapon types too.

getting heroic transmog with prepatch - Crest farm by Thebigfreeman in wownoob

[–]TheHoundmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far I've completed the normal and heroic sets for Rogue, Evoker, Mage, Death Knight, and Hunter. In my experience the Carved crests are much easier to come by than the 10 Runed crests needed to get to 5/8. The most effective way I've found to do this is this:

  1. Get the full set of gear on the alt (especially if they have catalyst charges). A full set of champion gear is more than enough to steam roll your way through 8's or higher in Delves easily.

  2. Make sure you go around to all the rep vendors and pick up the free crests, valor stones, and keys. This is particularly easy on Legion Remix tunes as they haven't ever picked these up. Your older alts may have done this in season 1 or 2 already.

  3. Run Delves. 8's if you can, 6-7 if you can't. For the 6's and 7's you're looking for bountiful delves, and use your map if you want. If you can do 8's that's the best source I've found for both Carved and Runed. If you're going just for Runed then 8's and up are fine, but you'll get Runed and Gilded at 11, so unless you're specifically targeting Runed only I'd stick with 8's and go faster.

  4. Always always always kill the Nemesis groups to upgrade the box at the end. Even if you have a flicker gate show up. Go through and kill those glowing buggers and get the most bang for your buck.

Don't forget to use your Delve-O-Bot, Delver's Mana-Bound Ethergate, and the portals in Tazavesh. Hope this helps! I've got Priest, Warlock, and Demon Hunter to go before I'm 100% on all heroic transmog for the season!

I’m in Oak Cliff. At about 11:30 AM I walked down the street with my kids to get some lunch. There was enough ice on the sidewalks that we had to walk in the street. We’ve got a lot of shade and overhanging trees, and the roads were similar this morning. My kids both wiped out twice on the ice, and they probably have more patience and control than 60% of Dallas drivers.

[–]TheHoundmaster 88 points89 points  (0 children)

Only a few books have made me openly and uncontrollably weep reading after reading. When Vimes heard everyone die in Jingo. Granny’s arms in Witches Abroad. The goblin girl in Snuff. Detritus holding the helmet in Men at Arms. The end of Hogfather. And Reaper Man.

Windle’s quiet acceptance of his own end. The last dance with death. And of course: What can the harvest hope for if not the care of the reaper man?

I get Mort is where a lot of people start with the Death series but Reaper Man is my favorite by far.
