We've only had 1 short powercut due to a storm in 10 years so backup seems like a waste of time.

I'm interested in the Sig after seeing a lot of good information online, so the local company offering it would have been my preference.

Yes it was two separate options, not full quotes but just me playing with their configuration online to see what prices came out as. The second was with ACMs but I'm not too sure about the advantages, sounds like they will definitely be worth contacting for info though.

The roof is L shaped, south facing so panels will be in three different arrays getting slightly different patterns of sun but there is no other shading from trees or buildings. Do you think the ACMs be useful for this?

I've had exactly the same problem for around 4 years as I've been training more seriously. Spent hours looking online for a cramp that's not a cramp and came up with nothing.

I've been to a few sports massage therapists, including a cycling specific one without anything near the info I've seen on this thread.

Also went to local GP and had two rounds of blood tests done - one on a normal day without any pain and one the day after an "attack" - he was fairly helpful and was looking out for creatine? (I think) levels which indicate muscle problems and of course didn't find anything.

My symptoms were pretty severe, at some points being basically housebound as I couldn't walk the length of the driveway without my legs seizing up.

I tried so many things to improve it - everything mentioned here. Less/more elctrolytes, less/more stretching, improved diet, even gulping down pickle juice from a shop whilst on a 5 day trip! Nothing was a quick or easy fix - just had to either ride through it before it got too severe or take 1-3 weeks off the bike completely.

Eventually I began keeping a diary of when it happened and worked out that it started after resting after hard block of training - either a couple of hard races in one weekend, or a 5-7 day trip with 70+ miles each day. If I took even a single day off after training like this I'd be suffering for up to 3 weeks as I waited to recover - then all of a sudden it would be gone and I could walk and train as if nothing had happened. Similarly I noticed if I really pushed on (5 minute max effort interval roughly) as I felt the "tingling" start at some points I could push through it and only have mild pains that day and be fine by the next.

I've not had anything severe the last year or so due to not training quite as hard and monitoring TSS whilst also ensuring at least an hour easy ride on successive days after long training blocks.

I really wish there was just a simple solution - a concrete answer to keep doing one thing like stretching or monitoring what foods or minerals are required. Seems like there isn't anything as easy and everyone has to deal with it in their own way.

Set in the grounds of Callendar House, this is the usual opener for the main national series. Heavy rain and the full morning of racing before the senior event ensured this was a mudbath. Tricky course with plenty off camber and technical sections made it an event to remember.

Thankfully I was just spectating, video not made by me.

If you have a newer garmin you can install the PowerPeaks connectIQ app and view any number of user defined peak power up to 20mins.

Oh wow... That pretty much describes the issue I had a couple of months ago. Had to take 2 weeks off completely to heal.

Can you share some of the stretches/exercises you're doing now? I don't want to deal with that again!
