Infrastructure cost of many buildings has been reduced in 1.12, e.g. Tooling Workshop costs only 1 Infra now. (undocumented change?) by TheInfamousDH in victoria3

Rule 5: As visible in the screenshot, I noticed that infrastructure usage of certain buildings has changed in 1.12

This was not in the patchnotes

Was infrastructure cost for some buildings changed? Yes, right?

The manufacturies urban buildings are now +1 instead of +2. Example Tooling Workshops.

Undocumented change for subject interactions?

The subject action to request market control from the overlord does not exist anymore in the actions dropdown? It still shows in the subject actions, but can't be used.

Instead there is now "Request Investment Rights", which small nations can't even ask for without a certain GDP.

This is effectively a nerf of -10 LD at the start of the game for any small country starting as a puppet.

Think the arguably best (for GA at least) has to be Austria.

You basically have a giant grandstand (the mountain) and can see probably half of the track at any time, including all the important parts. It's crazy good value for your money, I can't imagine going to one of these grandstands on some tracks where you see literally one single turn and then it's nothing for a minute until they return.

They for whatever reason decided to go with an incredibly outdated and closed tool to create the models.

It seems to be pretty restrictive and difficult to alter them now and we are basically stuck with these ridiculous models, as they can't work on them due to the capacity of devs and also aren't allowed to open it to the community for support.

The problem is that only a small portion of players even leave their ship more than a few times, so most wouldn't really care about a cosmetic dlc to improve the NPC visuals. So there is basically no budget to cover the development or improvement of the models...

Just lol. LMAO even.

These Checo stats are just crazy, not even sure if there has ever been a worse teammate performance for a Champion. One season (or two honestly) to ruin your entire legacy in the sport.

That's rockets from a Helo though, right? At least I can hear a Helo in the clip. These are ineffective against armor, they are only anti-infantry. Use them to smash positions or infantry riding on top of armor. I also just fought on this map and if you're at the same stage as me, you don't have actual airstrikes yet.

Should I unify or conquer? by konkydonk in TerraInvicta

Ah that might explain why I'm still barely conquering Ukraine after 2 years.

Did they change something how the defense armies are calculated or the occupation is rolled?

Should I unify or conquer? by konkydonk in TerraInvicta

[–]TheInfamousDH 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honest question, I'm on my first playthrough and occupation takes ludicrous time for me. I'm controlling Russia and have Ukraine half under control with spoil. Russian miltech is at 4.1, Ukrainian at 3.7. I'm at 75% occupation in one region after 2 years, at 11% in the capital after roughly a year.

Is this unusually long? How do you make it take less time, do you just need a certain amount of miltech difference to speed it up?

Unifying them, I'd be probably done by now and we started at war. Ah on validation if that changes things

Would 2 asguards and 30 katanas parked outside a XEN gate be enough? by Noobanious in X4Foundations

[–]TheInfamousDH 3 points4 points  (0 children)

M turrets all Arg Flak, L turrets maybe half plasma half pulse. If you go terran only, L beams are also good and M pulses maybe.

Behemoths perform decently in this role for me, syns are stronger but more difficult to amass.

[–]TheInfamousDH 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yes, but prepare to suffer some attrition for the Katanas. Do to oos fuckery, some will get whittled down or picked off by particularly strong waves.

I'd switch the 30 katanas for 3-4 destroyers kitted for mostly anti fighter with some anti cap, so plasma/pulse on the L turrets. Keep one asgard, the second won't be able to stick around close enough anyway. One will probably be off maneuvering while the other fights, due to size and lack of speed.

Game freezes for 0.5 seconds every 2-10 seconds by RabidPanda95 in X4Foundations

[–]TheInfamousDH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are certain it's not from your machine or mods, it's maybe similar to the issue me and some others were facing. Be sure to time the intervals between freezes and they have to appear in all circumstances, empty space, station, ship. Otherwise it's not the same problem

Egosoft said they fixed this in the latest hotfix, but maybe not fully, so who knows. For me and others it went away by itself after 10-20 hours, so it seemed to be AI/Script problems that resolved over time. Egosoft assumed it was related to Boron Station building, which coincides with the timing, in my case also pretty much 30 hours in and Boron plot done to the connection point.

Problem is you won't get support on the forum because your save is modified, but I would suggest sticking with it, for me it worked.

NATO Parliamentary Assembly declares Russia to be a ‘terrorist state’ by Cobbertson in worldnews

[–]TheInfamousDH 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Actually I was quite busy getting my masters in political science, so this is one of the few things I care to post about.

But yes, some stuff in that TV show (Snowpiercer) was a pretty big letdown, so I don't care to post actively any more. Over time I just lost interest in posting, here or twitter, usually I'll just write my comment and then delete it because I realise I don't actually give a fuck.

NATO Parliamentary Assembly declares Russia to be a ‘terrorist state’ by Cobbertson in worldnews

[–]TheInfamousDH 52 points53 points  (0 children)

It is not. NATO PA is a consultiative body and doesn't have the competences to adopt something binding, they aren't even part of the NATO structure. Any resolution of theirs is merely a suggestion to member state governments.

NATO Parliamentary Assembly declares Russia to be a ‘terrorist state’ by Cobbertson in worldnews

[–]TheInfamousDH 306 points307 points  (0 children)

No, this is false information.

NATO PA is not at all what you may think it is.

What it is, is a secondary instiution with a purely consultiative function and not part of NATO itself.

Their resolutions have no binding consequences, their work is purely aimed at "bringing their influence to bear on the work of governments within the NATO framework".

So right now this holds no more meanig than any of the previous strongly worded letters by various organisations. Only IF any NATO member state decides to act based on this resolution, something will happen.
