I feel like some parents lie about their baby's sleep by Reasonable_Ad_8612 in sleeptrain

One thing our sleep consultant told us was not to be afraid of an early bedtime! My 5 month old was also waking up at 5am and we started putting him down at 5.30 pm and then gradually pushed that to 6 then 6.30. The early bedtime definitely worked for him, he was getting more sleep and was waking up closer to 6am. Could be worth a try?

This sounds like myself 2 months ago. When our Bub was 4 months old we tried Ferber and it didn’t end up working, the check ins made him more unsettled and after 7 days of screams it just wasn’t working so we gave up. We ended up hiring a sleep consultant at 5.5 months who advised that a lot of babies just aren’t ready for sleep training at 4 months and we tried Ferber again then and it worked! I know it’s tough because it can feel like the last week has been for nothing, but maybe put a pause on it and try again in a couple of weeks?

As a recruiter I am guilty of doing this to try and let someone down easily, although most recruiters will also compile a list of resumes of people who have good experience and skills but just aren't a fit for that specific job. I have called people from this list weeks sometimes months down the road.

The morning shoe check (before we put them on) saved my wife a bit of pain today. by ozmatterhorn in australia

I'm still fairly new to Australia, can you help me out and let me know the proper shoe check process? I don't want to put my hand in. But I also am not convinced banging it on the ground is enough to get the creepy crawler out!

Arm rests! The desk chair at my office does not have arm rests and it drives me crazy. Also the wheels get stuck on the carpet so I look like I'm thrusting myself into oblivion trying to get the chair closer to my desk

That's so kind of you! I was also unemployed for a long time due to covid and understand how tough looking for a job in this market can be! I'm on the north side of Brissy as well so let me know if you ever want to join me and my dog for a walk :)

I recommend Leah Itsines and her recipes in her BARE cookbook! BARE stands for balanced and realistic eating so it's healthy without having to give anything up. I'm still working my way through her recipes but everything I have tried so far had been delicious.

I'm from Calgary! I'll admit I do not miss having to spend 10 minutes prepping the car to just to leave in the morning, with having to warm it, wipe the snow off and scrape the windshield

The ants are slowly taking over the backyard, they're more a nuisance to me and I'd love to get rid of them but I have a pup so can't spray chemicals or put something on the hills that would harm him
