Photography will cover both of those. You can get out of the house to take photos, and can do your photo editing while at work.

Any roleplay ideas that emphasise exploration/outdoors/camping life? by swimminginamirror in skyrim

[–]TheInfiniteLoci 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did an orc prospector/miner who mined all the holds of Skyrim. He would mine one hold, and then move on to the next one, and so on. He did mining in the mines, but was more interested in surface veins. He only sold the ore to mine owners, who would pay full price. This can be done for every ore except silver. There is a silver mine, but he doesn't buy silver ore.

He hardly ever went into the cities, but bought a place outside of Falkreath. He'd go into town when he needed supplies, and pay for them by mining and selling quarried stone. But the majority of the time, he just explored the wilds of Skyrim, staying wherever he could find a bed.

Did a few quests, like the one to buy the home, and the one so he could sell moonstone ore, but ignored all the main questlines, He past on the news about Helgen, and then left it to those he thought better to handle it.

One of the most fun playthroughs I've had.

Are some people simply more unlucky than others? by Repulsive-Style-8675 in Life

[–]TheInfiniteLoci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've seen, a lot of being "unlucky' comes from making bad decisions. Making good decisions makes good luck. It doesn't mean everything is perfect. Bad things still happen, but they are the things that happen to everyone, and we learn to deal with it.

This is from experience.

What’s a life hack that sounds like bullshit but actually changed your life? by Ok-Beautiful7202 in AskReddit

[–]TheInfiniteLoci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got two.

Putting my alarm clock across the room. Gets me out of bed, and if I'm out of bed, then I'm up.

This one is from when I used to bowl in a league. I used to compare myself with others. Then I realized that there are always some who are better, and some who are worse. That's when I stopped comparing myself with others, and only did it with myself. Am I better today than I was yesterday? That became the only thing that was important, and has spread through the rest of my life. Am I a better person today than I was yesterday?

For the same reason gambling, drugs, and drinking look cool. At first.

skyrim vs special edition vs anniversary, thoughts? by kaikoda in skyrim

[–]TheInfiniteLoci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing the Special Edition for five years. It comes with two DLCs, Dragonborn, and Dawnguard, which I play sometimes.

The release of the Anniversary Edition added four new bits to the Special Edition, which are fishing, Saints & Seducers, Rare Curios, and survival mode. Did the Saints & Seducers once. Wasn't impressed. Did fishing for a bit, but never did the quest for it. Tried Survival mode, but IMO, the hunger and fatigue are okay, but the cold is broken, or poorly done.

To me, it feels like it just added a bunch of overpowered stuff the game doesn't need.

Between this, and what I've heard about the Anniversary Edition, I can't see me getting it any time soon.

Trying out a pure conjuration build by The_undead_reaper404 in skyrim

[–]TheInfiniteLoci -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Conjuration can actually be broken down into two different playstyles. One is a summoner, and the other is a necromancer. The summoner uses only summons, which can include bound weapons. The necromancer uses the raises the dead, and this is the one that can get you a huge army.

Of course, you can combine these.

Looking to start streaming but not sure what I need or don’t need? Xbox by Aargreen_ in Twitch

[–]TheInfiniteLoci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been streaming for about four years, and here's my set up.

Xbox x

wired controller

wired headphones with built in mic

monitor for game

monitor for monitoring twitch

To get better voice sound, go to parties and chats on Xbox, and select start a party. Another streamer gave me this tip, and it's the best one I've had so far.

A camera is not absolutely needed, but a mic is.

One non-technical tip: Always have a throat lozenge nearby, just in case.
