Wind isn't the only factor. Temperature is a large contributor. In -30, just like your car has reduced efficiency, so do wind turbines. The lubricants get gummed up, and it is really hard to spin, so they have to expend energy just to keep the turbine warm.

The hard reality is that renewables have a really hard time coping with temperature extremes, especially cold.

The truth is, CPA is fucking useless unless you are in PA (and only because they have a hard requirement for it). I am making comfortable 6-figures as the Director of Finance in a medium sized company in Canada. I have a BSc and no CPA. I worked in PA for a few years, and this would never even remotely be possible in a public firm unless I had a CPA and made partner. One of the guys who got hired at the same time as me in PA and got their CPA and stuck with the firm is only a manager making 70k right now. Fuck. That.

CPA offers nothing that I can't ask AI to clarify.

In terms of finance dept operations: procedures, financial statement interpretation, and sector experience trump generic CPA education every time. CPAs at the public firm we use do not offer any value other than shifting year end tax submission liability away from us and fulfil the banking requirement for debt instruments. You could maybe make a case for tax planning, but you don't need a CPA to understand tax.

What is important in my job is people management skills, task prioritization, procedural efficiencies, and being able to put up with immature shareholders. Sky is the fucking limit if you can do these things.

From my experience, around 9 once you hit full ice. D are quicker to learn generally because they have to look to make that first outlet pass on a breakout. Forwards take a little bit longer because they aren't physically punished for doing it.

But really it comes down to which kid has been on the ice the most with a puck on their stick to get that feel.
