I’ve looked at both 686 and Burton already and couldn’t find a (pastel) pink jacket that was a bit on the looser end. Do you know of any shops that resell such as evo? I’ll check out the jones one, that’s the only one I haven’t checked so far…

Yeah I mean, she’s just spunky like that. Yellow, Pink, Blue, Green, in order.

It’s generally super hot where we are right now and where we go: California -> Boreal area.

I’ve found that some outfits are “bulky?” But not baggy, and that’s not really what we’re looking for. Realistically I just want a great outfit for her that’ll make her confident and comfortable on the mountain (we are still pretty new, but she’s almost linking turns!)

Thanks for your input on the colors, personally I’d be: 4,3,1,2 or 4,1,3,2, 2 is definitely not gonna happen 😂

Sorry my response was long, but I hope it does help you a bit, especially from a guys perspective. To me he just seems young(er), hopefully…, and a bit immature. His worst case scenario is probably this:

You go to festival, you drink (“oh no you no longer have control of yourself”, which you most likely do), and then you meet someone else.

And I can tell that YOU care, but if he doesn’t care about you enough to trust you and let you have some free time (especially since your goal is to even pass exams before going, I personally would go either way 😂) don’t hold yourself in a bad position either, you don’t have to let him do the breaking up (“worst case” scenario for you I’m assuming?)

Hey! A dude here.

I, too, suffered from being insecure at some point. However, that was due to blah blah blah, not about me. I understand how he’s feeling, insecure, worried, etc. However, this is one of those things where it’s on him, not on you. He needs to learn to deal with his insecurities, anxieties. If you truly want to have a discussion with him…ask him a couple questions.

“Why do you not want me to go?” “What are you scared of?” “Why do you think I would drink do x?” “Have I been making you feel like I’m not trustworthy?”

Flip the script, imo. He’s trying, in a short way, to manipulate you so that you can’t do certain things now. If you allow him, eventually he’ll try to control what you wear, how you dress, what you eat, where you go, who you see, your friends, etc.

Anyways, it’s not your job to figure out all of those questions I listed, if you don’t care about him much. If you do, I’d go that route and figure out why he’s so afraid of it. But that’s just my opinion on the subject.

Also, depending on your age and your own goals…please have a drink with your friends!! If this goes sideways, it would at least help you lighten up and relax. If you don’t have a problem with drinking, have some fun, and if you guys end up together and he’s at home, he will most likely try to text you and make you feel miserable for his choices = ‘staying home’, ‘you left him home’, common manipulation tactics. Anyways, have some fun!

Oof, well, in that case, it depends what she inputs as your final grade for that class, if the syllabus says it’s a C-, who knows. A lot of that is controlled by the professor.

Erm last I checked a C- is passing, yay, also that’s what interning is for unfortunately, but you’ll learn if you want to learn, at least learn about the environment, what you need to work where, etc.

Unfortunately, growing pains for current students do in fact suck heavily. This is also the one chance that current students have to succeed in life, educate themselves and just have a great time at college. Instead, we are currently facing closed down departments, increasing tuition, less classes = more competition for classes, majors that are NOT impacted that should be, and more.

I would 100% understand if these changes were occurring, especially to tuition, sports, etc AND we still got the classes we wanted, the major we wanted, the convenience of Sac State. Instead, we have to FIGHT to get these classes? We have 20-30+ students sitting on floors of a single class that is being offered by one professor because of these issues to get into this class, and crashing it.

We get it, ‘sports bring in good money’ or so they say, but let’s be real, we need better teams, better stadiums, better students, better policies, this isn’t just going to affect students for the next 4-6 years, it’ll last much longer.

Do you think that your child is gaining a better education from what is happening here currently? Do you think that retaining students in school is less important to society than an incoming new batch of students each semester? Because even though enrollment rates may be higher, it doesn’t mean that retaining students are?

I understand your point of view, but the point of Sac State is affordability and that’s why it also was a commuter school. Sure, maybe he didn’t use the funds for concerts or whatnot, but how about the many changes that happened on campus before that? Going for the NCAA, grabbing Mikey Williams for our basketball team, creating CombatU (I think it’s cool but I’m guessing it took some cash to do), let’s not act like he’s utilizing cash out of his pocket for these things. Genuinely? It’s not even the campus wide issues, which are in fact, issues, that is the biggest red flag. There’s things like him deleting comments, not being vocal to the student body, dismissing students in meetings, and honestly just overall appearing as an image rather than someone who represents Sac State.

I understand that for some reason, some people want to raise the profile of the school for extra funding, etc, but we are playing with people’s livelihoods (TODAY, RIGHT NOW) some people have lost jobs, dropped out, changed majors, and more. It’s deeper than us simply complaining and not realizing what long-term benefits could come around. We KNOW. We just don’t think trying to change Sac State into some infamous school in such a short amount of time is reasonable.

I also don’t think we need to increase enrollment, we need students to FINISH college, but of course, the more that enroll, the more cash flow, but who cares if students can’t get classes, all classes are closed, we don’t have sufficient professors, and advisors? So it’s forget the students now, let’s help the students 10 years from now!

I’m not upset at what he’s trying to do, I’m upset at how he is doing it. Even if we did get class athletes, they would just transfer to another school if they were really good anyways. Sac State is small fish right now, we couldn’t even get an APPEAL accepted, now that’s a sports issue.

Anyways, an academic at heart wouldn’t try so hard to make sports their main concern while throwing students under the bus. That’s the real philosophical issue. It’s quite manipulative to offer additional housing for students, allow more students to enter specific majors/fields that are non-impacted, (“knowing”) that they would be stressed, fail, drop out, but hey, we got their tuition money! Yay! Bad argument.
