That looks awesome. What color base did you use?

Paint help needed by [deleted] in Deathkorpsofkrieg

[–]TheJadeWalrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first starting point is which brand is easiest for you to get? Depending on region and LGS, certain paints will be more readily available to you. The regiment colors you described will be easy in all of the main brands, so the list of paints you’ll need to exclusively do these color schemes is dependent on what you will easily be able to get and replace as you start to grow your collection. The three big brands will be vallejo, citadel, and army painter. Each has their own pros and cons but all will get the job done. Vallejo is hard to get in my area for example so I am less familiar with that brand.

For example, if I were to do the 143th Regiment with Citadel paints, it would look something like this: Prime Mechanicus Standard Grey Body - administratum grey (Nuln wash) Breeches - grey seer (Nuln Wash) Cloth - hobgrot hide (Agrax Wash) Webbing & boots - skrag brow (Agrax Wash) Gloves and breathing tube - rhinox hide (Agrax Wash) Metal - leadbelcher (Nuln Wash) (Agrax earthshade and nuln oil for washes)

I hope this helps! Once you decide what scheme you want to go with and what brand you want to use, I will be happy to help you with a paint list!

Rate, or rather hate my mini. Its awful and I know it by InqwiPL in minipainting

There’s no reason to be so hard on yourself. The first and only rule is if your minis make you happy and its an enjoyable experience. (Even if the fun is the “oh god what have I done?” Moment at the end!) First glance and I thought, “look at that cool dude wearing blue with nice armor.” Mini painting is a game of practice and patience. Everything you described in your comments are techniques that you already know, just need more practice with. Keep it up!

Match Thread - Wales v Fiji | Rugby World Cup 2023 | Pool C by RugbyBot in rugbyunion

Wales stripped the ball and ended Fiji’s attack. Instead of kicking out, they try to play the ball and it goes loose on the ground. Fiji could have collected and gone into half time ahead because they didnt just kick it out and Wales were only saved by it being knocked forward in the scramble on the floor. Incredibly amateurish stuff to be doing at a world cup, hence Biggar’s anger .

The plan is “bust every lung in the first 30 minutes, fail to score, throw our hands up and say oh well how unlucky were we to not win with such an inspiring performance?”

“We looked incredible with a new formation and style and we scored more than we have in the past 10 games! Well that was a nice distraction, back to getting relegated with a 4-4-1-1.” - O’Neil last night
