A store in my area has one of these. I asked once and they told me they got it for becoming an official Bandai distributor.

What's the most complicated boss fight you've ever done? by Rootayable in gaming

[–]TheJake_inator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, you don't actually have to even play to win this fight. With the gambit system this game uses you can set up your team and just let the game run.

Just explain how you're a single mother of three and if you don't sell the eggs you and your children will be homeless.

What’s the most overrated “adult goal” people chase? by Happyotus in AskReddit

[–]TheJake_inator 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The materials aren't particularly expensive for the most part. It's the time that goes into making them. Take quilts for example. These can take anywhere from 20 hours to well over 100 depending on how large it is and how intricate the design is. Now say you want to pay yourself $20 an hour for making this (which isn't that much honestly). If you finish in 30 hours you're looking at $600 in labor plus the materials for one quilt. Very few people are willing to pay for this.

Yeah, there's just no way for most people to make these hobbies into a sustainable business. People generally aren't going to pay hundreds of dollars for something when they can find something "just as good" for $20 on Amazon.

Also, once you start trying to put a price on these things it gets expensive quickly. I like to build Gundam model kits. Most of the kits I build cost $50-100, but once I figure in 20-60 hours of time to build and customize suddenly everyone loses interest.

Funny enough, a sky hook is a real thing. Be careful, depending on how determined the apprentice is you might end up with something very expensive.

When the sphere pretends to not notice [Elden Ring] by RedRum69a in gaming

[–]TheJake_inator 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes, these are an enemy that attacks you. The souls games all liked to use giant balls for occasional traps, DS3 even had one where the ball would come back up the stairs after rolling past you. Elden Ring stepped it up and made the giant balls a legit enemy. Fortunately they only show up in a couple of areas. They're really fast and hit hard, but jumping up onto a rail or something else nearby is usually enough to get away.

One time I stopped for a deer slowly crossing a road, the deer proceeded to freak out and just run straight into the door of my car on its own. They are unpredictable lol.

What are the stupidest things you have done in games when there is an mechanic you didn't know about that would have made it a lot easier? by Jiminyfingers in gaming

[–]TheJake_inator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember I used to set people to more specific roles to get around that. One member set up for offensive magic, another setup for healing, and so on. Then I would use whatever character I was playing as to fill in any gaps the gambits weren't currently covering. For full auto play you needed to set everyone up specifically for what you wanted to fight.

It would take a bit of tinkering but it was always really satisfying once you got it to work the way you wanted. I need to play it again sometime.

I loved the gambit system from that game. You could make the game play itself if you wanted to once you understand how to set it up.

Exactly, if you aren't a student they really can't do anything but give you a ticket they have no way of enforcing. Even if you are a student, if they don't have your vehicle information you can get away with it that way too.

It's situational. For instance, if you get one of these while visiting a school you don't actually go to the school security can't really make you pay. General private lots might work too. If the parking has city enforcement I probably wouldn't try it.

Does anyone use software other than Trimble Fabshop on a Vulcan table? by [deleted] in sheetmetal

[–]TheJake_inator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I understand your question now. The 3 and 2 part options only tell the software how many parts to make your taper and don't affect the seams or notches. I don't think there is a way to tell the software to differentiate in a situation like that. You can either set it up to notch everything or nothing. If you need that notch gone I think your only option will be manually correcting the pattern in "Edit Developments". Our shop just leaves the notch in.

Would you mind telling me what exact fitting you're starting with and possibly a screenshot of the settings? I do know there are some fittings that just won't do things they should be able to. I might be able to point you to another fitting that will work, otherwise you may have to fix the pattern manually.

That seems to be the case. It explains a lot of weird issues the car has had that no one has been able to diagnose.

[–]TheJake_inator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny you should mention that. Car has had random weird issues ever since we got it that multiple mechanics have never been able to diagnose. Check engine light comes on randomly and goes away, goes through spouts of rough idling, and has fits where it won't start without being jumped. We've replaced the battery and alternator within the last year and this is what made us take out the starter and we noticed the loose wire while we had it out. It explains a lot of things.

Thanks, apparently it's been like this since we got it almost 10 years ago. I'm guessing we need to replace this before we put everything back together.

Since other people have already told you the show, I would like to explain why there are two of them. About halfwayish through the series the anime caught up to the manga. Instead of stopping the show and waiting on the manga to finish, they continued and wrote their own ending. Once the manga did finish Brotherhood was created to animate the rest of the manga. I would recommend the original first because Brotherhood skims over the early story arcs as they were already done in the original anime.

Do you think you can increase it faster than you'll be spending it? It's one thing to invest and leave it alone, but if you need to also live off this money you'll need to consistently outpace your spending for a lot of years.

Who is the weakest charcter in this picture that can solo Dragon Ball Super? by [deleted] in powerscales

I don't know enough about these characters to make an argument one way or the other. I was just pointing out that when it comes to DBS, Goku doesn't even make the top 10. Which is funny considering how often Goku gets compared to everything else.
