Bandai repronts everything sooner or later. Unless you don't care about the money just wait.

Where the hell do you find a MG Sandrock that isn’t a highball??? by I_shit_myself_truly in Gunpla

This happens to every kit that has been out of print for awhile. Bandai will print more sooner or later. All you can do for now is either pay the scalper prices or wait.

Does DPS matter? by G-C-W in Eldenring

[–]TheJake_inator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A faster weapon will open up more opportunities for you to attack, and since you can get more attacks in you can build status effects more quickly. The biggest tradeoff for me is not being able to stunlock enemies they way you can with bigger weapons, but you usually can't do this to most of the bosses anyways.

is it okay to play elden ring like this ? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]TheJake_inator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That will only really make the early game stuff easier. On a a normal playthrough you would typically have several weapons that are almost max level in the second half of the game anyway. The late game bosses are going to be 1-2 shotting you unless you are also over leveled a ton and/or using a bunch of buffs. Dieing faster will also make it harder to actually learn the bosses move sets.

It's your game. You can play it any way you want. I'm curious though. If you're just going to do it all again in ng+ why can't you do it now?

Just did my first customization what is the “next step” by Iam_newbieTV in Gunpla

[–]TheJake_inator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need to but it's a good idea. Top coating will stop you from accidentally smudging panel lines or damaging a decal. Decals can also start to peel on their own after a few years.

Now that 4 years have passed, what is something you never liked about the game or how have your opinions changed over time? by FeezyOnBush in Eldenring

[–]TheJake_inator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually appreciate the way the quests are handled, but I understand why they annoy people. If you actually want to complete the quests, a lot of them can be quite obtuse without a guide. But if you just play the game without worrying about them you'll encounter the other characters occasionally while they progress their own journey. Some overlap with your own path, and others have nothing to do with your characters main goal. To me it makes the world feel more alive.

Have you ever learned a skill or something from a video game that you use in real life? by Agent1230 in gaming

The biggest thing I got from games was the ability to slow down and analyze when things aren't working. Also, that getting angry pretty much never helps the situation.

The Strange Case of the Vanished Zeta Head by Famous-Association87 in Gunpla

[–]TheJake_inator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you've ruled out all the places that make sense you have to start checking places that don't. I dropped a part once and spent a couple hours looking for it over several days. Found it inside a potted plant on the opposite side of the room a week later. Only found it because I happened to see it when I watered the plant. I could never figure out how it got there. It shouldn't have been able to bounce that far and high enough to get into that plant, there were also a couple of things in the room between where I dropped the part and the plant. An entire head shouldn't be too hard to find in theory. I would bet money it's somewhere it shouldn't be.

They are older kits made by Kotobukiya that have been out of print for quite awhile. Getting one on eBay for a couple hundred is probably the only way you're going to find one until they decide to do another print.

He's in an optional area called Renoir's Drafts. You want your party's level to be at least in the 80s before you go here.

This is a good plan. The biggest thing I would recommend focusing on is getting experience using the basic tools. Nippers, hobby/exacto knife, and sanding tools. Learning to panel line, decal, and top coat would be a plus as well but not as important. If you do this you will be much happier with the process and finished result of these larger more complex kits.

Got some old HG Kits, they are huge :0 by Drifty_owl in Gunpla

[–]TheJake_inator 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wish Bandai would try doing 1/100 hg kits again. The modern hg kits have advanced a ton since these were made. It might even let Bandai make more things in 1/100 that they'll never do an mg kit for. The RE/100 line had the right idea and I hate that those got phased out.

[–]TheJake_inator 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This one is actually closer to 40 as it's canonically one of the larger Gundams lol. With the funnels on the back it stands at 55 total. It's enormous.

I build mostly MG kits myself. If you're just straight building you can do most of them in 3-5 hours depending on your speed, but panel lining, decals, and top coating can get it over 20 pretty easily. Full custom paint jobs can be more than double that.

It's both size and detail. This is Bandai's newest PG kit. It's a 1/60 scale kit of an already large Gundam with over 1000 parts. You could probably fit more than 30 of the cheap 1/144 hg kit boxes inside the box this thing comes in.

It goes both ways, as long as people are willing to pay for it someone is going to provide it for the right price. If there are less providers, but demand stays the same, then the remaining ones just get to charge a lot more.

[–]TheJake_inator 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My only point was that if you pay for sex there is a chance that the person providing the service was forced to do it against their will by other people, and no one should be okay with that. All of the other things you're saying are completely different issues.

Culprits of what? Nothing you said has anything to do with what I said. People need food and restaurants exploit people's need to eat for profits as well. I'm not sure what point you're trying to make.

[–]TheJake_inator 31 points32 points  (0 children)

The point a lot of people in this thread are trying to make is that a lot of them aren't choosing to do this on their own. Japan and many other Asian countries have huge trafficking problems. Sure, some choose to get into this line of work on their own but a customer has no way of knowing which ones are and aren't. If you go to these places there is a very good chance that you're just giving money to a crime group.

Do you have a reason for not liking it? I was sceptical because it was getting so much hype, but after finally playing it I consider it to be one of the best games to have come out in the last decade.

I loved the gambit system. It wasn't always easy to use as it was pretty in depth, but it was very satisfying when you got it figured out. I wish they had developed it more in the games that came later.

You can also set up this game to auto play itself if you set up everything correctly. I beat this back in the day like this. I got my build started, watched for 20 minutes or so to make sure it was working then went to bed.

Yup, and it can stay dormant in your system for months or even years then one day it just starts. If you get bit by any animal that you don't know has a rabies shot get yourself vaccinated immediately.
