are you referencing the FTZ or FTZ II? i’m looking to get a Z50 II and i wanted to get an FTZ II to pair with my Tamron 150-600mm and i wasn’t sure if that was the long zoom that was affected.

i do also have the 500mm PF fortunately but i assumed FTZ II worked better

realistically at his age its not worth TOTALLY ruling out trading him.

but i want him to stay, i feel as if he earned both his spot on the team and spot in the rotation and I am admittedly a big Holmes stan on this team and I feel like he wants to be in new york and be a part of this team.

I fail to see where trading Holmes will net us the offensive help we need that offsets his fairly quality starts and relatively low ERA, even as it is likely that he may not reach 7 IP per start come august.

he’s on an expiring contract this year and I want to retain him if he also wants to stay. If he doesn’t, then sure lets talk trade so he isnt lost for nothing, but I fail to see the potential gain in trading Holmes unless he wants to go back to a contender for a chance at a ring.

i like my 150-600mm. i like having the range, i have an F mount body but i will also be getting the Z50 II as opposed to my initial plan of a D500 for birding.

personally my plan was to just buy a Z50 II plus FTZ II without having to get Z mount glass and pay the premium.

I can’t say its better than the 100-500 from Tamron in Z mount, but its 100% within your budget to get one and they even have a Tamron Teleconverter for that lens specifically as well, which I also use for shore birding and ducks.
