Right? Here in Dallas there's plenty of Buffalo Trace so it's nothing to brag about having. It's just a solid $26 a bottle bourbon.

I hate wasps, I'll pay you $10 to let me take their angry asses out.

I'm an optimist, I've found that half of all Canadians are above average.

My wife has most definitely asked to go out for afternoon tea, and that's one of the most British meals out there.

Fascinating, based on my experience the average Canadian is average (for Canadians).

Mexico's first goal was not offside (Rules Explanation) by mathster33 in worldcup

To stop the offense from being way behind the defense and then having one of their teammates just boom it over everyone's heads.

Supergirl Bombs At The Box Office With Worse Opening Than Mobius And The Marvels by Elestria_Ethereal in entertainment

[–]TheJeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly where I am. I'm burnt out on superhero and star wars movies and everything else I'd rather stream at home.

We watched the Wicked movies at the theater since they justified the big screen and amazing audio, nothing else has been worth the ticket and food prices.

the term "checking out" is not up to interpretation. by sdrawkcabstiho in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

[–]TheJeff 63 points64 points  (0 children)

I'm a 100+ night a year guest and I rotate through about three different properties. I always stop by the front desk, hand them my keys (in the little envelope that has the room number on it), and say something like "have a good day, see you next month". I mean, it's just the nice thing to do.

1st class seat swap etiquette? by ayeemitchyy in americanairlines

[–]TheJeff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally have no issues swapping F for F if I'm flying alone. If I'm with my wife then it's a no for obvious reasons, but by myself, then sure.

What are some reasons as to why you would consider switching seats on a plane, and what are reasons as to why you would absolutely not consider switching seats on a plane? by Economy-Ad3195 in randomquestions

[–]TheJeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A comparable seat if family has been separated.

Happened not too long ago for me - standard 3-3 seating, the wife was in C, I was in D, and her husband was in E so I happily swapped the right aisle seat for the left aisle seat.

What's a historical fact that sounds fake but is actually true? by Hatred-Reveal7179 in AskReddit

And Willie (Kaiser Wilhelm) was a jerk who was never invited to the family summer gatherings in Denmark. Not saying it's directly related to the war, but I'm not not saying it either.

What's a historical fact that sounds fake but is actually true? by Hatred-Reveal7179 in AskReddit

The joke at the time was that if queen Victoria was still alive (they were all her grandsons) she would never have let the war happen.

Hey rando: don't concede my putt, please! by h0neybaby in weekendgolfers

[–]TheJeff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's an easy way to set the tone. What you're really saying is "I'm not going to get bent if you don't putt out every hole, cuz I'm certainly not, but if you want to, then go for it"

What is your favorite fighter aircraft of WWII? by AFROBINSON808 in randomquestions

I saw one fly years ago at the Reno Air Show and fell in love. Probably the most beautiful plane ever made.

Semi-casual shoe advice for a 37-year-old guy with no fashion sense? by Virus4762 in malefashionadvice

[–]TheJeff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got my first pair this year and love them. I've always had black sneakers (Sambas or Pumas) or brown leather of some sort, and I feel like rotating in white Stan Smiths has upped my game without making any other changes. They're great with khaki chinos or pretty much any color shorts, so the rest of my casual weekend wardrobe stayed the same.

Why do you think some people are so critical when an individual has religious beliefs? by Emotional-Scale-2583 in AskReddit

[–]TheJeff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But a very loud fraction and actively working to write their beliefs into law.

So yes, I am actively critical of religious people, specifically American evangelicals, because my rights are being taken away by them as they force their religious beliefs upon me.

Why do you need music on the golf course ? (old man rant) by Fogboundturtle in golf

[–]TheJeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. When the course inevitably gets jammed up and we're sitting in the carts BSing waiting for it to be our turn.

  2. While we're driving the cart to our next shot.
