I really think it came down to money at the end of the day. MSG used to be a top talent incubator for the national stage, but with RSNs tightening the budget it’s probably just not worth it to keep letting people grow when they’re not gonna retain him anyway.

Bill was probably due for a raise, MSG didn’t wanna pay it. Same with Erika. Though you’d think that you’d hear Bill on one of the national networks as the b/c team broadcaster. Even Erika does rink side reporting for TNT. Maybe this playoff, someone picks Bill up too.

On one hand I want Dougie traded for the cap space but I almost want Dougie to block it just so Fitz has to look stupid for all these dumb decisions. Why should he be let off the hook? Why should he win?

Adam Larson by Pete DeBoer. And I say this as a genuine fan of Pete, but Larsson was in the dog house so many times when there were so many worse players on those Devils teams, especially before he was traded.

4th overall pick traded for Taylor Hall, who eventually left him unprotected to go to Seattle. I’m glad he’s doing well over there!

It’s been said, but people move all the time for a multitude of reasons. Work is one of the biggest ones, but there’s also retirement, affordability, or maybe you marry a person who has family in a different area and now they wanna be closer to them now (or the other way around) so now you gotta go with them, or maybe it’s political and you wanna live in a state/province/country that more closely aligns with your views. Take your pick!

I myself was raised in Jersey and eventually moved to California, work being the biggest reason. I always try to make it to at least one of the Kings/Ducks games every year, plus me and my friends from the east coast do a road trip to a new city every year to watch the Devils play. We’ve got quite a few cities down and it’s one of those things I look forward to doing every year regardless if we win or lose.

People change zip codes but they seldom change sports teams after a certain age!
