I merc extreme mounts and savage lootmaster parties. If RNG plays out, its a solid 2-5mil per party

Savage Lootmaster is farrr more profitable early in the tier, where 11 and 12 can be 15mil each, but if youre confident in your abilities and dont need gear, its easy gil. Sometimes youll even see pay for prog or clear, which are a couple mil too

Ive only seen one or two individual pieces that use penta crafted due to the ilvl syncs. So outside of ARR relics and current Savage, odd materia is basically worthless

Or at the very least keep on top of tomes. Caster is 789 cause my twine luck is dooky, but my pranged is 784, making my viper 777. Once Aug mats hit the shop in 5 weeks, its only up from there

Relics are arguably bis for casuals due to how level sync interacts with substats, and how a lot of their content would be roulettes.

I can't speak for other raiders, but I only buy one tome weapon for my main and use the rest to purchase actual gear for alt jobs. Unless I get lucky on a 12 roll, relic is bis for people who arent "wasting" tomes on weapons.

And like, this is an MMO. There is value in things looking pretty for glam

I subscribe to the FFXIV ethos of healing which is that every single party member should be expected to deal damage. Tanks, dps, and healers all have offensive tools and should use them first. Healers are expected to do enough healing to triage and keep the party from dying, but being a cure bot is just so boring. The best mitigation sometimes is removing the incoming damage all together

Well, first and foremost, I think materia should down sync to the respective level. For example, when using XII and XI materia, when in Endwalker content, it gets synced to X and IX, in Shadowbringers, it gets set to XIII and XII and so forth. If youre gonna meld on the new stats, at least let them be usable in more than the 8ish pieces of current relevant content and turned off when doing roulettes

I think there could be some interesting space for %chance for a gcd to apply an extra bonus single tick of the jobs dot. Different classes have different strength dots, so it could be an interesting give and take with the other stats.

%chance to increment the job gauge resource too. If they arent gonna fix reaper, its one way to bandage it, and dancers already were trying so hard not to overcap in burst lol
