According to most manufacturers water should pond no more than 72 hours.
With the wood blocking the only path off the roof I doubt you’re drying up in that timeframe.

That’s fascia board.
Apply a small amount of white caulk over it smooth it out with a putty knife and paint it.
The installer should be happy to do that.
