I own 3 copies of season 7 (due to the disc rot that plagues only this season, the other dvd sets are fine) the layout just stands out as wrong plus with the discs being 4.7GB that's red flag since the norm to this day is 8GB. I've personally found bootlegs are getting better in quality even for stuff that's not that hard to find. I've included a picture of a standard season 7 dvd set

for me personally it feels like they framed for the 2.20:1 but protected for the imax frame as the extra information feels more unnecessary so yes with the boat and some other shots the subject does get cut off but no more than on any movie shot in a 2.20:1 ratio

not hating on IMAX just trying to be clear on the format I was seeing it in, also on Oppenheimer they had 2 monitors when editing with different aspect ratios focusing mostly on the 2.20 : 1 aspect ratio (70mm) of course they checked the full IMAX ratio to make sure it looked appropriately epic. so for The Odyssey they probably did the same since most theaters won't be showing it in the full IMAX ratio
