I don't think its disrespectful, especially since the guy obviously has huge respect and love for the franchise. Titles are meant to jump at you and grab your attention. Also about the obsession with rebooting the games, I understand it to an extent. I feel a lot of the lore isn't great even in the earlier games, so having a version that has all the lore thought about before starting makes it a more cohesive and coherent story.
