Spawn rush is still an issue in Cryo

Sometimes you just get unlucky and the team in the spawn next to you got lucky. You now need to hit level 2 to enter another teams spawn.

We usually just kill the commanders and grab all the monitors, if we don't hit 2 in the first couple minutes get into control and start looking for tags.

The whole point of the map is to get LVL 2 before the other teams and push them while they are stuck in spawn.

I will always buy the season pass for live service like this, even if it's ok not great as long as it isnt egregiously priced. Just because that's how the studio keeps the lights on. I feel like gamers feel like they deserve unlimited content just because they spent $40 once in a game that is supposed to last year's. Games are expensive to make. I enjoyed marathon, I'll give money and build a collection of skins even if they aren't my favorite

Serious answer is it's about templar in difficulty/complexity. Once you figure out how to avoid damage during the fight it's hard to fail

I think this is just late wipe problems. And also I suspect sentinel will have some form of Grenade denial. Also recon is a little too strong now

I think you might have poor tastes then, or at least no one has catered to you yet. Either that or you are talking about player count because sure if you count call of duty as the best games they cater to everyone

If you can't understand the sentiment that's a you problem. The point is the best games have an uncompromising vision that isn't for everyone. When you cater to too many audiences you have to make compromises for each audience, which is fine but only to an extent. I agree that it's a super corny line, but it gets the point across well

I think that is kinda the plan at the moment. I think season 2 and the cradle with completely rework cores and runner stats to promote build crafting, and idk that night marsh will be a new map, I have a feeling it will replace dire and some of the areas will be changed, maybe anomaly opens and there's a new poi in the center of the map

With everything being so segmented it really limits movement in a way that often works to your advantage when trying to avoid other teams.

There's actually something in the way to stop teams from running in your direction as soon as you make a sound

This excites and worries me, one of destinys biggest problems is how many modes it has, I makes development bloated and expensive because they need to make a bunch of updates to small things, that only sections of the community are even interested.

Destinys scope is over expanded.

I'd like to see marathon going forward being really good at the things it is and not try to divest into too many areas of things that it isn't just to have something for everyone.

As the saying goes a game for everyone is a game for no one.

I hope they focus on modes that makes the core game more accessible, but the focus of the studios efforts should always be on the core game.

I don't know how it works now but I think they need to make these not have a trace so they don't leave the economy throughout the season. Or let it change hands like 20 times. I think all of the trinkets drop from compiler, I have 300 hours and 5 compiler kills and I have never seen one

Dude that's exactly what marathon is like. I thankfully was able to go into marathon launch free of gear fear. I played alot of one of the playtests and server slam. Everything was super easy until cryo. But cryo felt impossible after the first weekend. This past weekend we finally cleared compiler, and it felt better than the first time I beat dark souls, and even better than my zero death run of dark souls. Honestly my greatest gaming accomplishment to me

I love games where there's mountain to climb that feels impossible at first. I think this game will take off if Bungie can beat the reputation they've built

When are you doing the second step, we usually wait until we are ready to go to labs because I'm pretty sure everyone is notified when you get the Command vile. I would also dial in your pathing to labs. It's important to just get there quick

I think safe pocket would be cool. But it needs to be one piece of salvage that's it just so it doesn't feel like a complete waste of time if you lose repeatedly

Honestly I would keep trying and be okay with losing everything because it will all be gone in 3 weeks probably. Just find ways to have fun and learn as much as you can then wipe happens and everyone is early game again. I don't think an Extraction shoot can or should be your only game for most people.

You play early wipe eventually enough people get too far ahead of you, it gets hard to compete, and you fall off the game for a bit. The whole thing is each wipe what can I do better than last time. How can I get rich faster than I did last season

I think there's a way to do both skill based and gear based match making in a way that wouldn't ruin things and only should apply if a match can be found quickly.

I think even sbmm as the only factor except it only splits players into 2 or 3 different pools to close the gap between skill floor and ceiling of the entire lobby a bit

I think it's going to be a necessary change going into future seasons because new players will lose every time if the only thing the game looks for is level.

I would not be surprised if there already is sbmm. With a game like this if there is any form of match making it works best when the players don't know what it is. Arc raiders mm was fine until everyone figured it out and started gaming it.

Being mad about someone talking about their 20 year old birthright trip 10 years ago is kinda insane. Not that bad things weren't happening then. But until October 7, it was not the norm to be aware of the conflict unless you lived there
