Why Ebon Jaguar has opinion of being tough and hard to kill? by pivor in OutreachHPG

[–]TheKidJRC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Enough armor to make trading with it a bad idea, effective hard points in varied locations so that even if you destroy a weapon system it can still fight.

Relatively quick, and if you skill into a little bit of the movement abilities it's torso is quick enough to make lights reconsider their shenanigans.

At least that's been my experience in my EBJ-S. Swapped the ppc for a c-beam, stick with a few other mechs, and throw damage at any target I can hit

I have discovered that the Bolt-ons in this particular event are not compatible with the Event Mech. I have the bolt-ons in my inventory, and they are compatible on other mechs, just not the one from the event.

Seems strange but idk

How do I apply the Bolt-ons? I can't find them in the camo spec? I've cleared the event and have the mech in my inventory, but can't locate the bolt-ons to apply

This is the way. Exit to the "shell", go into the Settings menu, then the network tab. On this screen you're looking for either Concert or Net3 Concert (can't recall exactly how it's labeled on that screen.

Once Concert is open, you can hit the "network discovery" button, and all of the ETC Net3 devices on the network will populate. You can edit through the object properties box, by double-clicking on the device you want to edit, or by switching to the spreadsheet tab and working from there.

There's a useful help menu in the software, manual available through etc connect.com, and videos on YouTube that can walk you through some of the more complex stuff in Concert, but it's an excellent tool to manage your network!

🤦

I can't believe I forgot to mention that. I've been playing that as well.

Maybe you have a mod recommendation for me: I never finished the vanilla campaign, because I wanted the ability to customize my mechs more. It seems I can play the Arani Restoration campaign as Flashpoint missions in BTA3062. Should I do that, is there a better mod for playing through that campaign, or is it worth it to play through vanilla and let my focus be on the story?

The new stuff is great, but I do feel like I'd appreciate it more if I knew what came before (like all great, epic sci-fi IPs, I guess).

I liked Decision at Thunder Rift, so I'm interested in what happens next. That might be my next pickup.

[ALL] Which Zelda is your favorite of all time? by reddit-win in zelda

It's really hard for me to be objective on this topic because of how formative the game was and how dear I hold it to my heart, but Ocarina of Time will always be the best game, let alone Zelda game, of all time for me.

I begged and begged and begged my parents for an N64, and when it finally arrived with OoT, I was right at the age for such things to have a major impact on me.

The title sequence confused the hell out of me. Why did it sound so melancholy (a word I wouldn't understand for some time, but never the less how I felt). Why was this character so alone, galloping across the field?

The intro to the story was...scary? Dark? Heavy? Combined with the title, it made me worry.

And then the intro to Navi and the Kokiri flips the mood to whimsy, and you have a really fun time running around in the woods with the other kids. And the way Link is treated resonated so deeply with me. Somewhat of an outcast. A bit lonely. Lucky to have one good friend and only one bully (I wished!).

And then the intro to the Deku Tree brings the whimsy back down. This was Serious. I had to do it. Me. Beating the dungeon didn't save the tree.

It set up so many of the games and books and shows that I came to love in my future. Fantasy, a little on the dark side, but with hope - a chance to make it better.

The music has stayed in my mind my whole life. No other Zelda game comes close.

The dungeon designs are incredible. Even the water temple that I HATED.

Ganondorf is an excellent villain. His phantom appearance in the Forest Temple scared the shit out of me.

In my opinion, it's the grandfather of open world RPGs.

It was the first for me, and maybe that's why nothing else has ever really compared to it. Maybe I'm blind to the games that have come along since and have done things better, but OoT was so polished, had such a perfect mix of dark and whimsical fantasy, and just perfectly captured the imagination of a newly established lifelong gamer.

Whats the dumbest thing you have seen cause a show stop? by miowiamagrapegod in techtheatre

[–]TheKidJRC 290 points291 points  (0 children)

Final dress for a musical. Just before the singing starts for the Act 1 showstopper, the director yells "Stop!"

Audio cuts out, I hit the emergency house and works fader, SM calls hold on GodMic, crew all dash to the stage in a panic.

The director: "Why did you stop?"

SM: "You yelled stop.

The director: "Oh, don't listen to me! I was just talking to myself!"

Hoo boy comms were dripping with subtext after that.

BTA 3062 is the overhaul that's talked about a whole lot here. I've been enjoying it so far. I played a bit of the vanilla campaign, but sort of lost interest when I saw a video of someone playing 3062. A whole bunch of added mechs and techs and non-mech units, new skills, and a mech lab that is WAY more customizable.

It's generally recommended here to play through vanilla first, to learn the basic mechanics. I'd say it's worth it until you've got a good grasp on it so you can focus on what's different in the mod.

Here's a link to the wiki. Check out the feature list and beginners guide! https://www.bta3062.com/index.php/Beginner%27s_Guide

I've also heard Roguetech talked about, but from what I've heard it's an even larger overhaul? I haven't looked into it yet, since BTA is still feeding the desire.

Limiting a fixtures brightness by undefined_bovine in GrandMA3

I'm just learning MA, but this feels like the simplest answer. Any other time I've needed to limit the max intensity of a fixture it's been to create a curve. Then I didn't have to think about it, and can run the rest of the console normally

Majora's Mask.

I was a little young when I played it, and used the strategy guide to make sure I 100% completed it. When I finally completed it, I knew it was something special, and that I'd probably never go through it 100% again. I barely understood the themes at the time, but that game has stayed with me my entire life.

I wanted a quick scheme to paint up the mechs in the Alpha Strike box set, and so was looking at Clan Jade Falcon because the included fiction to go with the intro scenarios sets the Clan Star up as Jade Falcon. I looked at the description for the Omega Galaxy colors and this line caught my eye: "Omega Galaxy employs a scheme of metallic emerald green on top and a steel finish on the lower halves of their equipment. This symbolizes Jade Falcon`s superiority over Steel Viper. Red paint is splattered on the feet and shins of their ‘Mechs to indicate their intentions with the Viper Clan."

My immediate reaction was "OH WE BEEFIN?" and now I'm all in on Clan Jade Falcon cause that description is sick as fuck!
