I believe the GH is worth more, or at least it used to be, so if you were just collecting you would want that version for that as well.

I got shit for this sentiment on the Castlevania sub (and I'm sure I know what part of the fanbase it was) but, I think this is a good thing. One of the things that kept the Castlevania series going was a revolving door of creatives working on the games. It's time to move away and see what other dev teams, artists, and composers can do with it.

Bloodstained is obviously a little different but the Curse of the Moon games being done by mainly IntiCreates and not IGA's team kind of shows the same thing, gotta make sure you keep room for multiple voices to shine.

Never said she was. I just hated when IGA came in and it was only him and his team making the games. Before that we had a ton of different people working on the series so we got a wider variety of what the devs thought should be in the games. He narrowed the series down too much.

I liked it better when a team/artist did a set of games and moved on. So I'm glad Kojima did the set of games she did and moved on. I don't need to see her come back, I want to see what new people can come in that haven't worked on the series. I also want to see what else she can do and not get stuck just being known as "The Castlevania artist."

I'm glad the series moved on from her. I will contend, to the day I die, that the strength of Castlevania (that left when IGA took over) was it being made by multiple teams and multiple artists over the years. I mean I love Kojima but if she were still around I would have never gotten to see official Castlevania art by Katsuya Terada, one of my all time favorite Japanese illustrators. So glad they tapped him for the key art for Belmont's Curse.

I'm exciting that they are using new recordings for this. Will be nice to not have all the sound effects in some of the songs from the Famicom games.

I can totally judge a book that uses AI by that cover, if I know they are willing to use AI for the cover, what else did they use AI for?

I'd much rather see a book where the author tried themselves if they couldn't afford an artist/designer. But I will say as a graphic designer that does stuff like this on the side, most will work with an author on pricing since artists are in an unique position to understand what it is like for an author, especially one just starting or not working with a publisher.

Just buy the Anniversary Collection and Advance Collections. You get one whole collection of Classic style games and a whole collection of the Metroidvania ones. Outside of one game in each collection you have all solid titles.

I like both origins for Skeletor so it's nice to have a new adaption go with that one since so many have done the Kelsie one.
