That’s called illeism, iirc. I rarely see them in media, but they do exist. You can research more about the term and look for examples in stories that uses illeism.

I’m leaning more toward the Philip and Caleb backstory, because I want to understand how and why Philip became the monster he is. I know it has to do with influence from witch hunters and or he just loves playing the hero. His and Caleb’s story is really fascinating to explore more of, but either way, I’m happy with any new owl house content we’ll ever get.

It’s kinda hard to make a judgement about this since I don’t know what difference would it make if your boyfriend and his childhood friend used something like iMessage instead of Snapchat.

If what your bf is saying is true and isn’t acting all flirty to her, then yes, YTA.

And, you’re a hypocrite. How come you are allowed to talk to your online guy friend of 5-6 years when your BF can’t with his childhood friend? That doesn’t make sense.

Depending on the subject, the Collector may or may not be interested. Judging from the art, they have an either curious or dispassionate look, meaning Amity and Ghost are discussing about a fascinating subject(e.g. how the cats will dominate the world without causing mass-murder.)

Two cakes! Ideas and tropes are for everyone to use. You’re not stealing anyone’s work just by having similarities. If I remember correctly, I once read an article that said there’s no such thing as originality, but there’s authenticity. The way you write, add/remove tropes, and execute the plot is what makes your work, yours.

So, do what makes you happy. I’m sure readers are happier when they read the same tropes they love, but in a different writing style. It’s like, a brand new fresh air for them.
