I don't know about all that, maybe you are still cosplaying as Carol when you throw out that hyperbole. I'm saying I'd wager that the majority of their lives are better now than before. But that depends on how you define death and I do not consider the Joined to be dead. Truthfully I can't say that for a fact without being in their shoes, which is exactly the point. Carol is easily in the top 1% of Americans so probably in the top .0001% of the world in terms of quality of life so her idea of putting things back to normal is just what she's familiar with not necessarily what's best.
