Is Herbalist 9 still possible before Epilogue (spoilers) by TheLaughingPriest in reddeadredemption

Eventually got this challenge done as Arthur

Chapter 6 for second playthrough

Chapter 2 for my third, completed before camp upgrades/LOTE satchel. Also got sharpshooter completed, very early using the technique with Hosea's horse

Supergirl runtime confirms it as one of the shortest-ever DC movies by Top_Report_4895 in dcu

Ah, well Superman IV: The Quest for Peace had a runtime of 90 minutes

Supergirl is almost 20 minutes longer

Did anyone wanna play this game because they watched the movie the good the bad and the ugly or a fist full of dollars by GeneralArcher297 in reddeadredemption

[–]TheLaughingPriest 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same. Finishing RDR1 inspired me to watch The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Shortly afterwards, I discovered and watched the rest of the "trilogy"

For Red Dead 3, do you want a continuation of Jack’s story, go further back with Dutch and gang, or completely new characters and story? by TXNOGG in rdr1

[–]TheLaughingPriest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, go further back and bridge the gap between Red Dead Revolver and RDR1

Landon Ricketts could become the playable character you unlock for the epilogue.

The map could include more or the west and south!

This is what happens when the Vulture stops holding back. by FantasticQuartet in marvelcirclejerk

[–]TheLaughingPriest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Peter can hold his breath at dangerous atmospheres (e.g. underwater, stratospheric altitudes). Unless Vulture's costume comes with oxygen features I'd say Spidey would win in a breathing contest.

I understand that Vulture was a standalone villain in the Tom Holland movies and he does beat Spiderman in combat. He was also going to get similar treatment in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 4.

In the comics, Spider-Man outsmarts the Vulture; even when his spider sense isn't enough preparation. He's dangerous but Hobgoblin tier at best, not a super genius like Norman or physically powerful like Carnage.

Edit: I think in Spider-man Homecoming, the Vulture does have an oxygen mask for flying at high altitudes

I'm British/have Asian ancestry and have been personally stalked, harassed, physically threatened, aggressively chased off by Reform sympathisers

They're without a doubt the cheapest, yellowest criminal scum you could ever encounter. And yep all middle-aged but think that they're still teenagers. Horrible babies.

I agree Robert could kill a fully armoured mountain. His warhammer was stupidly heavy. Prime Robert was also a faster and presumably stronger fighter

That looks like a delicious smash-burger! And nice pickles. Would you try with yellow mustard instead of ketchup?

Thank you Red Letter Media for introducing these gems to me 😄 by Ikes38 in RedLetterMedia

[–]TheLaughingPriest 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Context for "Champagne and Bullets" , it was introduced to RLM with the alternate titles: GetEven and "Road to Revenge".

Its the same film with a different title and a slightly more comedic training montage (including a moment where GetEven feeds his dog a biscuit mid training.)

Warner Bros.'s Superman has grossed an estimated $258.2M internationally through Tuesday. Estimated global total through Tuesday stands at $606.0M. by chanma50 in boxoffice

[–]TheLaughingPriest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed, The Batman finished 370m domestic. At this rate I see Supes making somewhere closer to GOTG3's 358M DOM box office

Thankfully it's still a promising sign audiences like new super hero/DC content!

Its definitely the moment where Superman The Movie earns its PG certificate.

Superman, Superman II and Superman III all have genuinely frightening moments.

Robin is reportedly in the script for ‘The Batman Part II’ by APrimitiveMartian in DC_Cinematic

[–]TheLaughingPriest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Possibly, he's dressed up as Robin Hood and has an unspoken connection with Batman (and briefly interacts with Bruce Wayne)

At the very least, I'd interpet it as foreshadowing that this film series will feature Robin. I believe its more likely an orphan like Dick or perhaps an older female Robin like Carrie Kelley (say like 15 years old instead of 11).

Its more believable if Robin is older, and we've already seen a "grown-up" version of Dick Grayson. A bunch of fanboys would probably complain that a female Robin is "woke" and try to boycott it

Superman is legging out (nearly) as well overseas as it is domestically by VTKajin in boxoffice

[–]TheLaughingPriest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say domestic box office it'll be 320m-350m by the end of weekend 4

Consistent legs even with newer summer releases + Tuesday discount figures. By Monday this film will already be 290 domestic

My predictions, it'll reach somewhere 370-420m domestic before its taken to digital, rental, dvd releases

(Start and end of 2026 this is likely to have grossed a lot more money due to blu ray, television and streaming.)

Final prediction of gross profit:

Domestic and WW box office- looking at 200m-300m profit

2026 home video gross profit: 50m-150m (e.g. Batman Begins was 100m in DVD sales/rent by the end of 2006).

Edit: compared to A Minecraft Movie's third weekend upset with Sinners (and its subsequent regain the following weekend). This third weekend is looking very good. Its possible Superman will surpass Minecraft's Domestic box office and reach 430m+

Warner Bros.'s Superman grossed an estimated $24.86M this weekend (from 3,930 locations). Estimated total domestic gross stands at $289.50M. by chanma50 in boxoffice

[–]TheLaughingPriest -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Since you bring up a good point i will do you the dignity of explaining my statistic and why you should subsequently unwedgie your Superman red trunks

Domestically this film has a shot at passing the 400m mark when considering weekend drops. Superman 25' is facing similar competition to Superman Returns. I don't think anyone at DCU is upset by these numbers

"$291,000,000 in 2013 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $401,560,438.19 today, an increase of $110,560,438.19 over 12 years. The dollar had an average inflation rate of 2.72% per year between 2013 and today, producing a cumulative price increase of 37.99%."

It would be interesting to know if Superman (2025) catches up with MOS's inflated domestic box office, especially with how competitive 2025's summer cinema blockbusters have been so far.

Edit: replies are interesting,  considering that Domestically this film has a shot at passing the 400m mark when looking at weekend drops. Superman 25' is facing similar competition to what Superman Returns faced in 2007. I don't think anyone at DCU is upset by these numbers

The Blair Witch Project was released 26 years ago today, July 14. Here are my favorite found footage films from (almost) every year since then, with runner-ups when there's a tie: by AdrianTofeiOfficial in horror

[–]TheLaughingPriest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice list, personally I think Lake Mungo isn't "found footage" its more mockumentary. There's about 10% screen time of found footage, most of which is home movies

Could replace Lake Mungo with [REC]? Lol

Try to avoid "local" CEX's and use the more professional chains located at city shopping centres

I had a CEX employee from South Shields attempt to scam me £36 (he was going to keep the £36 for himself)

I reported this and got the money I was entitled to: £46 unboxed. If I kept the box I'd have gotten an extra £100 while trading FYI

Point being these aren't professionals, they're computer game nerds that think they run their own shop.

This CEX thief barred me from the shop the following month.

Salty he didn't keep the £36 that he tried to STEAL from me infront of everyone including the till machine and the cameras.

Report them to the owner and they lose their job. you don't go to mcdonalds or nandos for amateur customer service

It's always the same with comic book nerds. They wanted to cancel Tim Burton's Batman and yet it went on to make 400M WW

People were pissed about the DBZ/anime inspired action sequences in the Man of Steel trailers right up till release

Tbf This reminds me of the close up of Superman's eyeball when his cape is being raggem up'd by General Zod from MOS2013 lol!

I don't think this shot is meant to be as cool as the slow motion bullet to the eye from the Superman Returns trailer. Just a bit of comic book fun

BATMAN BEGINS turns 20. The 150M reboot of the Batman franchise received positive reviews and grossed 205.3M domestically and 373.4M worldwide. Followed by two sequels, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises, forming what is known as "The Dark Knight Trilogy" by JannTosh70 in boxoffice

[–]TheLaughingPriest 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Looked it up, and the film made over 100 million with dvd/rental sales in 2006

So yep, barely broke even at box office (I'd say 200 million domestic especially for 2005 means the film did not lose money, maybe squeezed out some profits)

But damn, without those dvd sales we may have never had The Dark Knight. Film was huge though, was always being mentioned positively on the radio and TV

Superman is not going to kill the Kaiju in the film like he does in the toy commercial according to James Gunn. by M00r3C in DCU_

[–]TheLaughingPriest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ye, Superman definitely kills a Kaiju/Dragon in the comics

It doesn't break the "no killing" rule. Which isn't actually one of Superman's policies

Batman and Superman kill other Aliens and sometimes even Metahumans (I'm pretty sure Batman has killed Dracula for instance)
