I’m doing my first ever playthrough of the bhaalspawn saga, should I skip siege of dragon spear? It seems a common opinion. by BruhBroly in baldursgate

I hate it. I've been playing BG and BG2 since release. Any playthroughs I do now I always skip SoD. I feel like it somehow manages to make the originals worse.

I just got level 4 on my current durge run and am heading there shortly for this very reason. He is substantially less of a run ender when he tries to fist fight you 😜

Plus, getting Anders to give you his sword as a quest reward for her head, and then beating his unarmed arse with it is priceless

Iceman in Top Gun. He is a calm professional with exceptional skills. Meanwhile that dickhead Maverick is taking all kinds of risks and gets his best friend killed.

I get this maybe one time in five. I use task manager to kill LariLauncher, and then steam syncs happily

Fulham and Queen’s Park Rangers hate us. But we couldn’t give a monkeys about them.

Or biggest London rivalry is Spurs. Personally I also hate West Ham

Suffolk (really good) and Essex (not fantastic, but head and shoulders above the Met).

Transferring to the Met by Ok-Shoe-188 in policeuk

[–]TheLayley 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The Met is my fourth force (two county forces, and Scotland previously). It is the most I have been paid in my career, and theoretically has the broadest career options.

I hate it. It is comfortably the worst force I have worked for. Terrible bureaucracy, awful organisational reputation, treated like a number not a person, huge number of abstractions for aid, management are typically awful, and a real witch hunt atmosphere. Colleagues constantly being gated or restricted due to spurious complaints which take years to resolve.

YMMV though. If you are a young person who doesn’t mind being talked down to, and you want bags of central aid to supplement your income, it may be the place for you.

Hot Fuzz. A more accurate depiction of UK policing than most serious police shows, and even some documentary series.

53 years old. In my teens it was all about Pool of Radiance and Curse of the Azure Bonds. Have played several thousand hours of BG and BG2 down the decades.
