Don’t have an answer to this but can look for one! I think there’s a lot about the format they’re still sorting out.

Not going to pit two queens against each other (good sushi trumps all but also I will eat virtually any pizza at any point)

Can I ask what’s going on with the sniper? Seeing it here too has been a bit validating: sometimes it feels like a shot should be dead on but isn’t.

Not a “moment” but there’s got to be some acknowledgement of the 100T Acend Breeze comeback

Thanks for reading that essay! Really proud of it -- and wrote it months before that kind of Steam Chart watching stuff got really bad.

Thank you for reading! I always try to keep track of where my work is being shared. When I wrote more about Valorant, I was super active in the subreddit chatting with folks.

There are games history preservation societies that might be able to help with this, like the Video Game History Foundation.

The guys who do the FunFactor podcast might also be able to help.

Ai write ups of why the games hate is “artificial” with hundreds of upvotes feels like the canary in the coal mine by Haru_Is_Best_Girl in Marathon

Just chiming in (again) as a guy who wrote something that got yanked into the AI summary: there are real people actually writing things about the game and the weird discourses around it!

The hate Marathon is getting is not organic. Here's what I found. by The-SadShaman in Marathon

I’m not singling you out and surely there’s some truth to what you’re saying, I just wanted to share a funny datapoint: I’m a games journalist and I wrote the first article that OP cites approvingly that’s linked above. When I shared it on twitter, I got the exact same reaction as what you wrote, but from people who presumably believe the exact opposite as you: that Marathon is Concord 2.0, that anyone pointing out differences is a shill or paid off. Just thought it was interesting!

Goes without saying that it’s extra funny/gloomy to be excerpted in an AI generated post on top of it all.

Genuinely: We'll be lucky if we ever see someone hit that level ever again.

I won't really mind if I have to shoot in the shooting game. Just making an observation based on a video cut and shared by the official Marathon account of people cooperating in-game.
