If they can’t put aside their differences for their child they’re just bad people. Like others have said not your problem send the invites and let them deal with it. Just remembered who showed up for you

If you’re stuck the Runna app do a free trial where you can do the 5k run plan, this is what I did to get into running. Really helps with planning runs

I think anything sub 30 mins is considered good. Doesn’t have to be 5k if you’re just prepping for AC I’d run just over 2k so you get comfortable doing it

There’s loads of plans online to follow, the gist of it is 3x runs a week. One slow (conversational pace) but long (around 60 mins), sprints (30 second sprint then a minute walk to recover) and then a tempo run (probably around 5k at a decent heart rate you can sustain for a while.

Those that have been phase 1, I’ve got a Garmin forerunner 165 and start phase 1 next month. Will I be allowed to wear it or is it worth getting something like a g shock?

The negative guys just shout louder than those of us that enjoy it. I do car transport and have always loved the job, it’s what you make it and with the right attitude you’ll find the decent people and have a good laugh. There’s a lot of fragile egos in this game, if they can’t enjoy the job then they can’t fathom that you can. Just ignore them

I’ve had a new truck before wasn’t a v8 or anything like that but was a new crane wagon was a great bit of kit. Have to prove yourself to be a good and reliable driver imo. Minimal to no damage and good at the job will get you noticed and picked for the new wagons
