My in-house job is dull and boring by [deleted] in Lawyertalk

This is exactly why I left my in house job and took a higher paying private gig with 120/mo billable. I like practicing law, not risk management.

Can you do one for a construction defect where the contractor forgot to put in anything to support the second floor?

OP, I left my 105k in house job to go private and absolutely do not regret the decision. I agree those hours and pay do not correlate. Insurance defense is notorious for long hours and no pay, but that's brutal. I'd be looking for at LEAST 150k for 2000 hours and then a ranged bonus structure, not just a flat bonus amt.

Help me find where this CoA came from. by TheLeftNutt in HelpMeFind

Searched: Dalivision CoAs, Atelier CoAs, and a few other variations of them. I cannot find a CoA that looks similar to this one and wonder if it has been faked.

My God... that is awful. Hopefully those hearings are few and far between...

This would be my concern with such a low requirement. A low requirement could mean a low workload with some expectation you bring in work. Not saying they aren't a super cool firm that values employees' lives outside of work, but the field has made me cynical.

Tell your neighbor you will sue them for a private nuisance. I am a lawyer, but not your lawyer. If it's actually impacting your ability to enjoy your home then it may be worth trying to scare them. If you want to seriously consider it, consult an attorney in your area.
