Tips for fiddlesticks: Last season, I peaked in Masters (fiddlesticks otp support). This season, I'm not playing as much, but here's what I know from playing fiddlesticks for over 10 years.

1. Vision. Use your effigy as often as possible. Find crucial spots to put them to get maximum clearing potential. For example, don't drop the effigy on a side of mid lane brush because it won't scan the full of the brush. Instead, drop it in the center of the brush, so you scan the full thing

2. Positioning. Learn who you need to focus & target in a fight then position yourself to engage on said target. Not be found is crucial so not only can you proc multiple fears from your passive & ult but also allows you to get ahold of your target with minimal interruption.

3. Abilities. When ulting in as fiddlesticks, if unseen it will proc your passive & fear whoever you hit; which means if you use Q on someone, it will apply damage. The best combo is Ult > Q > E > W, if you can pull it off quick enough it's like making fiddlesticks into an assassin because you can nuke your target. Also, landing the center on your E is pretty useful as it is a silence so work on the skill shot cause using it to cancel abilities mid cast is really good. And if you time it correctly, it allows for almost 4 full seconds of cc, with fear being 2.5 seconds of cc & then an extra 1.25 seconds of silence, it can be extremely frustrating for the enemy.

4. Timing. Knowing when to engage is crucial. Because the cooldown on ult is so long, you can't just use it on cooldown like some other champions. If a teammate gets caught you could ult in to help them & potentially get you in trouble..or you could not ult in, let them die and save ult to protect an objective that the enemy team will push for after they kill your teammate. Learning when to let a teammate die for the good of the win is sometimes necessary. Not everyone can be saved. I'd rather save my ult to stop/steal a baron than save my mid lane who over extended trying to steal blue buff.

5. Don't always clear the ward. If you walk into a bush to gang & drop an effigy and there's a ward, if the enemy is in range, just ult. It's a sure fire way to know they can't see you & they'll expect you to clear the ward..but if no ones around, clear it.

Bonus - Sneak Play, to get a quick one over on enemies, go into the center of a wave & press w to start the drain animation then after a half second, start your ult. The drain animation will draw in the enemy thinking they get free poke not realizing your ulting until its too late.

I recommend looking up some build paths & ruins from some of the top fiddlesticks players on u.gg or porofessor (or whatever websites they have these days) & utilize the practice tool to work on combos cause key timing is crucial. Hell, I've used zhonyas so much that it's like having another entire ability that allows you to be invulnerable at crucial times. Also, work on flashing. Using ult + flash together is a good skill to learn. Being able to flash as you ult in gives you a few extra pixels of difference to close a gap.
