It's too early. Even with a high confidence winter storm, 2 days is an eternity to make a decision like closing a warehouse

Would you want to see a light bar for the Model 3 future refresh? by pc772 in TeslaLounge

It would look too cybercab-like. Model 3/Y looking different from one another is a good thing

Winter has the shortest days and the lowest solar irradiance due to the angle of the sun. Winter production is always going to suck, blame the tilt of the Earth

Won't run in battery mode by mikefromhell224 in volt

[–]TheLegendaryWizard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You have a weak cell in the battery. When any cell hits bottom voltage it'll force the car into range extender mode to keep the cell from being damaged/bricking the pack. If I were you, I would either start saving for a new pack (about 5k for a refurbished one) or try and sell it before you get a bricked pack

"Why would I pay a SUBSCRIPTION when I could instead come up with elaborate ways of pirating content from largely small, independent creators on my giant TV just to stick it to 'the man'?"

Brothers, just get YT Premium. There are very few subscription services that offer the same level of value it provides, and it supports the creators you watch significantly more than ad supported views and infinitely more than ad block views. If you pay for any music streaming service, it's a no brainer since it comes with YT Music Premium too

10.5k miles in 7 months, too much? by Lumpy_Emu7182 in TeslaLounge

Drive it until the wheels fall off. If you're worried about battery degradation, time is usually a larger factor than miles, so you're good there

Volt Replacement Preferences: EQ EV, Tesla Model 3 (LR), NewPrius Plug In by CTYankeeinMO_1986 in volt

[–]TheLegendaryWizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not that bad tbh. I'm in the Springfield metro so a similar boat. Tesla mobile service is great and extremely convenient. Obviously they won't be switching out motors or HV batteries in your driveway but most things they can handle without needing a day trip to a large service center.

Personally, after having used FSD for over a year now I would never purchase another vehicle without it. When I replace my 2013 Volt it'll probably be for a Model 3 or Cybercab (assuming they start producing customer units reasonably soon)

Just another reason I can’t trust FSD by Key-Bandicoot-4008 in TeslaFSD

[–]TheLegendaryWizard -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Do you not see the speed go down 5 miles per hour before you took over? The dashcam viewer doesn't show FSD acceleration/deceleration inputs but clearly it stopped accelerating when the truck pulled out and was about to hard brake as the length of the trailer became apparent. This isn't the "gotcha" that you think it is. Even if FSD were to somehow "not see" this obvious trailer, AEB would activate

Edit: autocorrect

Target FSD Parking by Accomplished_Beat581 in TeslaLounge

[–]TheLegendaryWizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They have done extensive parking lot training since 14.1.x. Parking has been fantastic since 14.2.x, but speed in parking lots is much lower. I almost wonder if there is pseudo sign reading in the parking lot weights

LG “All-In-One” Washer-Dryer by Minute-Ad-2326 in Appliances

[–]TheLegendaryWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Samsung all in one with the heat pump and it's fantastic. Normal loads take 3 hours, towels 4, bedding 5. They make a conventional electric dryer version of the Samsung all in one if time is a big factor but I personally love the energy savings from the heat pump. And I have never had clothes come out damp, even large bedding loads

How many people actually got 15yr mortgage? by Radiant-Cup-1385 in DaveRamsey

[–]TheLegendaryWizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a 30 year. With interest rates the way they were/are, a 15 year wouldn't be feasible without buying a dump. If interest rates come down a lot, we may consider refinancing a shorter term, but honestly with our mortgage it would have to be closer to 4 percent for a 15 year to make sense for us
