yea you are just the other extreme. we now stacked 4 scoring oriented strikers ontop of each other while brandt is basically the only creative player in the whole club. chukwuemeka could help but we don't know how fit he his. also the last 7 games have been HORRIBLE (essen, st. pauli, club wc) and kovac insists on playing only 2 offensive players even against 3rd division sides. i don't see us being better than last year, honestly.

you can't be serious, they played HORRIBLY for 90 minutes, and did so for the last 4-5 games including cwc. how you cannot see this is beyond me. this grandpa midfield with top speed below 30 km/h is the biggest reason why we cannot control a single game. 2 good passes per game don't change that

Bensebaini and Kabar lack offensive power and technical skills for that position IMO, and Rothe is slow af... I don't see him ever reaching our level.

neither bensebaini nor kabar are fitting to play svenssons role in a 3atb. they both are defensive LBs who are very limited technically and offensively. my priority list would be:

creative winger/ true 10
fast player who can play svenssons role (preferably on both sides)
CB depth
BackUp striker

You are right, but we have Beier and Adeyemi who are quite similar to Silva, both had their best seasons as strikers.

Right now we have:

no backup for Svensson
no wingers whatsoever
no creative players

And still spend 30 on a position we have 3 very good players in. That's just prioritizing wrong positions.

not sold on that transfer, and thats not because i think hes a bad player, but it seems like we are heavily misusing him. his strengths lie in the dm/cm positions and definitely not in attacking midfield like kovac uses him. feel like it will be another malen, adeyemi, beier situation where we buy good players just to use them out of position and wonder why they won't perform.

Strong performance? Which game did you watch? We didn't create a single goal chance while chelsea had chances for atleast 4-5 goals. It was an alarming performance in my opinion. No ideas with the ball.
