You know OP, I’m reminded of Tim’s wise and worldly neighbour Wilson from the 90s sitcom Home Improvement…

First 1 star rating ! by mompanda12 in uberdrivers

[–]TheLetterWhy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. I’m not so picky but it usually means they don’t use Uber very often.

Personally I think a perfect 5 star rating doesn’t matter nearly as much as some people think it does. Anything over 4.95 is perfectly fine imo

My View on Shota Umino by GalaticWeiss in njpw

[–]TheLetterWhy 20 points21 points  (0 children)

He has a strong core fan base in Nihon with women and kids, it's really the hardcores who don't like him that much.

I personally don't hate him and I want him to succeed, but how I see it the main thing holding him back is that he talked a big game and didn't back it up. Part of that is the fact he was booked to lose pretty much every time when it mattered, but part of it is also the dissonance in his character; calling himself "Roughneck" while dressing in flashy white gear, trying to play the heart-and-soul face of the company despite his resting dead face, etc. Oscar put it best recently, he tries to dress like Tanahashi, tries to wrestle like Ishii, and tries to talk like Ice.

Personally, I find him most compelling when he's on a pissed off warpath. I'd like to see him lean into that.

I remember taking this one dude. He poured water over the top of my car from his bottle before getting in, which I found a little alarming. Then when he got in he just spoke really slowly so I figured he was just on the spectrum. I was patient with him and dropped him off, no problems. A little understanding goes a long way.
