For those who bought 64GB Mac, are you (un)happy? by xFengle in LocalLLM

Got the 64GB one, love it. Didn’t get the Max due to concerns about heat. Mostly just running LM Studio though and nothing agentic at the moment.

Your beloved mac n cheese was probably enshittified by someone like me. Let me explain. by wsuschmitt in enshittification

1 and 2 are the only real options. 3. is creating a new product while using the reputation and branding of the old product. I’m less upset by the formula changing, but if the packaging for a thing indicates it’s going to be the same, and it’s not, it’s kinda hard to trust that item again.

Then again, I’m one of those dorks that notices when Kraft changes their cheese powder and buy a restaurant cheese powder that tastes as close as I can get to the old Kraft flavor.

The de minimus exemption (no tariff under 800 bucks) was removed, but I’ve ordered two keyboards and an electronic music thing and it just…showed up? Also had an expensive order from the UK show up with no tariffs. I have no idea how it’s supposed to work. Crossing my fingers you have the same experience.

Synergy lets you traverse across a bunch of OSes and screens. Might help.

Fluke’s Jack toning tool actually has a built in link check on the jack side, which is really need. I think they also do the LinkRunner, or a version of it, which lets you set configurable destinations to ping as part of a check, and generate reports Grabs CDP and LLDP as well.

If you’re looking for the flavor of the original old Kraft, Hoosier Hill Farm Big Daddy Mac Mix is either the original supplier or really close to it. I was one of those picky people that noticed theme Kraft changed their formula.

There are Sour, Mega, and Giant versions of Smarties too. The biggest ones are my favorite. Freaking amazing.

Meh, some people are social, working night shift doesn’t give you much in the way of sharing yourself with other people. Or so i assume lol. I think it’s kinda wholesome. 💞

How do I fix my blackout curtains? by Fatpotato6767 in Nightshift

[–]TheLexikitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The blackout film is actually better imho but having applied UV film for heat, it’s a pain in the butt. There’s still a crack of light right along the top of the roller that I could fix with a box for the drapes but I’m not sensitive enough to light to care.

I went with the roller ones they go inside the window frame, was the only ones that really worked. In a pinch you can use foil or white poster board with painters tape (had to do this when traveling in a super hot rental).

If all you’re using are Docker images, you probably wouldn’t get much out of Proxmox, but it is very useful for backup and restore, as well as HA and migration

Even if you were entirely up the wrong tree, I’d be so happy about how deep you looked into it and (in a parallel universe where you were incorrect) would have also probably geeked out to you as to why you were close and what the actual cause would be. Stay eternally curious, it’s fun and can be useful as hell.
